you can fly for a few hours if there is good ridge lift and thermals. we had some technical difficulties with the harness balance (eek) and made for a quick landing on the beach, otherwise you might stick around the hills get lift and get really high.
you are right the ride was pretty smooth i had the camera in my hand which was not resting on anything to keep it stable, this is the first time i've filmed from a hang glider and i can't wait to do more.
I meant to say I enjoyed the video, I just didn't want any novices who saw it getting the impression that flying consists of being shaken around all the time. It's mostly pretty smooth and wonderful, honest! The landing here seemed OK too, although not shown clearly because of the camera angle.

it is about an hour from the golden gate bridge and you land on stinson beach. contact mission soaring if you want a tandem flight.
