Nah, SV's aren't cheaper (Depends where you live I guess). And yeah the EMG 81 is probably a little better, but I'd rather stick a Blackout in it or some nice passives. And personally for this kinda guitar, I'd rather not have the neck PU. Infact I rarely use it.
