I have some Shure SRH440. And I must say they are extremely clear and all around amazing. However as accurate as the bass may be, its not BOOM BOOM, its really weak, AKA I don't feel shaking. I was wondering if buying a portable headphone amp with bass booster would help. Such as the FiiO E5
What do you use to listen to your music? The more that it is portable the more you'll benefit from amping up. Your hd595 has big drivers (tiny speakers) which clearly need more than than any set of ear buds. If you are listening from a stereo, the E5 is useless. But anything smaller than an Ipod can't deliver as much power as the cans can handle. You'll end up cranking it up all the time.
Wow, I couldn't fit it all Fiio's E5 will supply more power to your headphones along with what your DAP is pushing out. You'll end up with clear and loud sound.
It does increase the bass level. Beside the power button there is an equalizer switch to go from bass boost to flat. It brings up the bass well, but I've come to appreciate a complimentary amount. The E5 will pick it up from, let's say 4 to 7. If numbers describing sound level make any sense. But hell, bass FTW.
Archos updates the archos w/ firmware that put a vol. limiter. Safety reasons, unfortunately. But, now, someone has come up w/ a work around to get the sound pumping again! So, the E5 and the hack = BIG NOISE... And yeah, always hunting for new sound, I'll hit up your mashup.
damn nice man the archos.. but the archos itself has a lot of power.. so why do you have the amplifier? btw listen to my mashup Run this town VS. Lollipop @ my channel i saw you like lil wayne ;) 5/5

with the bass option on is it a good undistorted bass or a forced bass like a bass boost EQ on an mp3 player?
