That's one landlord from hell but if I'm not mistaken she had agreed to return his full deposit after he cleans up the place and provide some plugin air fresheners. The tenant may have lied to the landlord prior to moving in by saying he's a non-smoker. But regardless, he shouldn't be accountable for the smell of cigs coz it was never stated in the lease that you can't smoke inside the house.

You can see that the heat banisters are old, the floor is old and the bathroom fixtures are very old. Shes hoping that the tenants could make them look new again, and you can bet her husband was the one who painted the windows shut. The old bag from hell..

it should be obvious to anyone that this filthy old harridan is looking for an excuse not to give him back his deposit. i didn't hear the tenant use any "big words" but i distinctly heard the lovely rita not letting him complete any small ones without interruption.

To the guy video taping this: You are being ridiculous. You are not listening to her. Not listening to a thing she says. If your an engineer why can you not remember what she says? You are deliberately trying to pick fights with her. She just wants it clean and to not smell like smoke. That's really not too much to ask for upon a tenant moving out. There was no need to act like a child and argue everything that was said. She repeatedly said what needed done, you could of just said OK.......

OMG, the plug ins? they set fires, they are not made properly, this woman is insane and irrational, her giggling shows she is wrong and a little immature. It looked fine. You did the right thing, you kept calm, that is first and foremost important when going to court, it's walking on eggshells with the Judge.
