  • A lot of people aren't aware that the nuts most commonly used in raw cooking aren't actually raw. Cashews must be steamed before they are allowed to be imported into the United States, and almonds from California (which supply 80% of the world) are pasteurized.

  • how the hell is this pad thai? it's not even rice noodles.

  • @ax06 thats because its RAW

  • what kind of coconut oil do you use please :D

  • Can you explain the noodles. Are they a raw food product?

  • @carnrick There are green kep noodles available also.

  • delicious recipe ani! i like to add raw kale and broccoli!

  • Just made these and they are absolutely amazing!!! Super tasty and comforting.

With mine, i soaked the kelp noodles in warm water to both warm them up and soften them.

I added to the whole mix finely sliced red peppers, shredded cabbage, chopped scallions and a little grated ginger. Next time i'll add a little less water to the dressing and up the soy by half tbp and add a generous tsp of fresh grated ginger.

Just fantastic! I would never have thought of making this. Very talented chef!

  • love her!

  • I've heard Bragg's aminos contains msg. Anyone confirm this?

  • @paullie6719 good stuff, taste like soy sauce wayyy less sodium....avail at health markets, Henry's, Wholefoods, Sprouts, etc

  • Looks delish... wonder where I can get that kelp noodles in Germany. :(

  • @whataboutredlorry You can get Kelp noodles from iHerb website. They deliver anywhere and only $2.80 per bag! I haven't found them that cheap anywhere else.

  • What's in it that is Pad Thai ?

  • Great Ideas, Ani, I love your simple recipes.

  • just use a new name

  • What we all have to remember is that she looooves to toss the salad!

  • Thai flavored sauce. Made from real Thai!

  • xDD

    she didnt summoned Spirits :P

  • I use to add some peanut crumble

  • This does NOT look like someone puked in a dish in any way... no it doesn't.

  • I'd add a big ass chunk of meat on top.

  • Your Pad Thai SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKSSSSS!!!!!!

  • This is like pouring ketchup on a piece of toast and calling it pizza. Come up with an original name for your hippy recipe and quit trying to horribly adulterate something that everyone knows and loves.

  • I am learning! kamsahamnida

  • @ghijsch

They are kelp noodles. Like a seaweed out of the ocean.

  • Isn't that a lot of iodine?

  • @ghijsch

    Kelp noodles :)

  • Subscribe

  • The only change for this recipe is substituting lime juice for lemon. Thai food never even really uses lemon flavor

  • Ani, you're a stunner! You have such beautiful skin! So radiant.

  • ewww

  • ill toss her salad....

  • I lóoove your recepies and video´s!

But first you where making your video´s in an other place.

I liked your video´s better when you didn´t do them for VegNews.

    But your still awsome!!!!!

  • Ani is so hot lol but i've always heard it pronounced "bay-zel"

  • Ani is so hot lol

  • I meant Thanks for the videos.

  • Ani, got your book thru iphone kindle, a lot of healthy ideas. Thanks for the videos? you make it look easy. I will try it.

@skycub99-the blender I think it's tribest personal blender. I just ordered mine from amazon.com

  • Just discoverd you! Thank you for all your great recipes. I wanted to know if you could tell me what the name of that little mixer you used in this clip is? Thanks!

  • Kelp noodles are my new favorite, i love how they crunch! sometimes i just toss some kelp noodles with a little sesame oil and Braggs and a drop or two of chili oil. deliciousness... they work really well in my lunch Bentos too as a side.

  • you rock! thanks for your videos

  • By the way, this is a fabulous recipe. I love seaweed. This looks awesome. I think it is way too fatty for me though. Any good fat can become bad fat if it is too much. If we lived in the artic it might be good. I would substitute the oil for something else...Kelp noodles are online. I would love to buy some. My parents are buying Ani's book. I love ani's recipes. Though it is a little to fatty and sugary for my beliefs in health.

  • @gojiberries1 good fat does NOT turn into bad fat. It's not possible to overdose on Avocados to the point where its the equivalent of eating a bunch of margarine or twinkies..

Don't avoid all fats ..... This is common FALSE perception. Everyone should be avoiding HYDROGENATED & TRANS-FATS.

  • I read in a great book from a Dr. Hoffman. It was on the Hunza people. They don't use oil . They use it for their skin and medicine.

They live till 130 years and mostly 100 years or older.

He gives very scientific info about why oil is not healthy. Any kind of oil. since i have eliminated oil.I look twenty years younger than my age with everything I am doing. 90 percent RAW and not vegan.

  • @gojiberries1 Dr. Hoffman, shouldn't you be pushing your book on Amazon.com instead of youtube?? Also, please rewrite your book with some more details.

  • My goodness, you look so young and vibrant! Certainly a result of this awesomely healthy diet :) I hope I look like this when I get older!!

  • This salad looks so perfect and I'm gonna make it for dinner if I have to spend the afternoon at Whole Foods, it looks AWSOME!

  • yuuuuuuuuuuuuuum

  • Love this! I've been wanting to make it for a while and finally did it today. I used raw chashew butter cuz I didn't have almond, it was delish!! I can't wait for Ani's new book to come in the mail! xoxoxo!!

  • great! adding some cashews or green beans just for fun would work too. I will try this, thanks so much.

  • where can you get kelp noodles? whole foods?

  • @muzicluva000 I used yam shirataki noodles from a japanese supermarket. Shirataki has a weird texture to it but the calories are zero calorie ... =D

  • I like this recipe. I couldn't find kelp noodles and am not all-raw, so I used mung bean noodles instead. Very tasty! Thanks, Ani!

  • I just made this and it is AMAZING. Thank you, Ani!

I suggest soaking the kelp noodles in water for half an hour first - this makes them even softer and noodley.

  • I am so buying your book

  • I discovered Ani while working at borders a few years back. One day while shelving in cooking I happend to put her books on the shelf.

Her recipes are fab and she's realy btfl.

  • ummm...never heard of Kelp noodles!

  • I believe these are "miracle noodles".

  • This is fun. Thanks for sharing, And look really delicious. =)

  • This is a great recipe! I just made it and added a few of my own ingredients and made it even better- IMHO :)

I added 1/4 teaspoon dried lemongrass to the sauce and added fresh cilantro, mungbean sprouts, purple onions and red bell peppers to the veggies. I also topped it with some chopped raw cashews- yum!

  • Awesome suggestion!

  • Great additions!! Thank you for sharing :)

  • @Lani012 That does sound like more traditional Pad Thai. I'm sure that Ani's version is good, but I was thinking that there were so many things she could have added. I bet yours is an improvement! Have me over for dinner sometime? Just thought I'd ask. K thanks :)

  • Ani has the best, fastest and healthiest cooking ideas around.. Thanks Ani sooo much for being so passionate about raw food and excellent nutrition, you simply ROCK!! If you ever come to Hawaii please set up a work shop or something, we love your creativity with raw food.. your the best girl!!!

  • Yes, Where can I find Kelp noodles North

of Canton, Ga or online.(Not at the Trader

    Joe's or whole foods)

  • It looks delicious. where can find kelp noodles?

  • You can find them at stores like Whole Foods and at Asian markets.

  • This is definitely not pad Thai. We don't have even planted almond in Thailand.

  • I coughed up the $63 for a magic bullet, and will be trying this real soon. I never use the recommended amount of braggs or namashoyu, because they are too salty, so I cut it 50/50 with water, or just use tbs of dulse. Also I am on 80/10/10/ and will use the bullet for making sauces & dressings (vitamix is overkill)

  • I am about to trash your sushi recipe, so I thought I'd be fair and sing the praises of this dish. This is the most yummy thing ever, cooked or non. Thank you, Ani, this is what's made you a raw food goddess. The sushi, well, not so much. But thanks for this!

  • ew :| kelp noodles.

  • no, you are soooo wrong! kelp noodles are awesome! they take on the flavor of the sauce and the texture is perfect!:)

  • Nice recipe. What kind of blender is that. Looks easy to use and clean. (I"m sick of constantly cleaning mine)

  • Looks delicious!

the only thing i'd add to that is a squeeze of lime.

  • That looks AMAZING!! Where would i get kelp noodles from? I'm in london btw or if there are any online sites i can buy it from, please let me know..

  • I have heard that Bragg Liquid Aminos has free glutamic acid which is really another term for msg. Many in the raw food circles are not using it any more.

  • really? good to know. I never tried it but I was planning on buying it this week. Does it taste like soy sauce?

  • Yeah like soy but not as heavy. I always say look into it. Nama Shoyu is probably a much better option, it's naturally fermented and raw, so you get the benefits of fermentation, easier on the digestion.

  • Thank ANI for this wonderful recipe , Your're my hero , You have open my eyes / my mind , Iam so glad I stumble upon your video , And following every one of your video after that :-) , Agian , Sicerely a big THANK YOU .

  • Goddes Ani:

I went to my local chinese supermarket and bought kelp noodles (dried). There were black and not transparent like the ones you are utilising... are there many types of kelp noodles? they were ok, but I think I will use courgette or butternut squash noodles next time... :/

  • Kelp noodle look likes mung bean noodle!

  • SHE'S HOT ! ! !

  • I wanted to ask also, where do you get the kelp noodles. I have never heard of them before. Thanks

  • I've found kelp noodles at Mother's Market and Whole Foods.

  • Yeah, you'll usually have to go to specialty stores.

  • Hi Anne great recipe. Where do you buy the kelp noodles from and how does it taste?

  • yum
