  • せめてマダンテくらいうってよ

  • He looks like a MARVEL villan mixed with Zoma in his human form...

  • @1234raptorboy No, this is an optional boss in the PlayStation (Japan only) and DS versions. In the DS remake, he's called Aamon.

  • its nul pourri

    the game is shit

    nul merde

  • When I beat this guy in the DS version, my hero was dead, Kiryl and Maya (or was it Meena- whoever was Nara on the NES one) had no MP left, and Psaro made a simple attack to win- I won this by the skin of my teeth. Kinda ironic my hero was the only dead one considering the game revolves in part around the Hero/Estark prophecy. Even more ironic is the main villian winning it for me.

  • レベル99でイジメちゃダメだよw

  • how do you get psaro

  • どうせなら完全体エスタークを・・

  • フリーザみたいだね

  • Nice video. I'm going to get a DS this Christmas, and I plan to get the DS version of this game. Despite the changes from the NES version, which I am a proud owner of, it still looks to be a pretty awesome game.

P.S.: The spell he casts (Magic Burst/MegaMagic/Madante, I believe) on 6:44 looks pretty fucking awesome, if you ask me. It looks a lot like the FF6 version of Ultima.

  • the last version of the monster (the one with 2 heads) is called psaro in dragon quest monsters joker

  • Psaro is a different monster. He's the first final boss in the game (this one, called Aamon, is the second, optional final boss). Psaro changed back to hos humanoid form (he's the one with the silver hair). Psaro's final form is green while Aamon's final form is white, then black.

  • your level is too high

  • Ahhh the jewel that never made it to US PSX.. but it's now on DS ^^

  • He looks like Freeza!!!!!!

  • He was drawn by the same artist who drew Frieza: Akira Toriyama.

  • I'll never get why they decided to say they're going to release it in America, and then go back on their word.

  • The company coding the remake folded..and the code went with them.

  • NOOO THE DS VERSION DOESN'T EXIST!

  • Wow follow/troll me on how many vids that have NOTHING to do with you.

    BLINK FOR ME BLINK!!

  • damn.... in the ds version i hate him xD

  • HE LOOKS LIKE PSARO!

  • thats was what I was gonna say. :(

  • how did you get all of your level ups?

  • 7.58 AAAAAAAARGH MY EARS

  • Agreed. That high-pitched noise at 7:58-8:11 makes my brain hurt. Other than that, this is an excellent video, and an excellent fight, and whenever I get a DS, which will probably be this Christmas, I plan on getting the DS version of this game.

  • I beat this guy easy on the DS version. Must've made him a lot weaker.

  • what level was your party when you beat him?

  • About 43 something I think... I don't remember

  • dude!!! that guy is TOUGH!!! ur team is , like, all level 99 and he was still doing major damage!!! boy, if ur not careful with that Aamon dude, he'll wipe ya out!

  • This battle is totally different then the battle with Necrosaro in the NES version. In the original he starts off orange and loses body parts as you attack him. Then his stomach grumbles and the face shows up and he turns green and then gains larger legs and arms and finally the head.

  • This was added content after you first beat Necrosaro, you get to turn him back and instead fight Aamon in the castle.

  • AAAAH ITS PIZZARO! (Or Psaro, whatever DQM games youve played)

How come he isnt green? Is this game for the DS?

  • This isn't Psaro. Psaro would be the dood between Hero and Ragnar. This dood is one of the four you had to fight to bring down the barrier for the final battle. He just comes back stronger in the added 6th chapter. Also this is the PSX version and there is a DS version(you can tell the difference by the menu.)

If you don't know, there is a DS version of 4,5, and 6. 4 is already out, 5 is already out in JP and in about a month for the US, and 6 I have no idea what going with that one though.

  • Well Im a DQm fan so yeah he looks exactly like Pizzaro, except he isn't green.

And is the fourth one worth getting on the DS?

  • Except he isn't. It just a color pallet swap.

Well DQM is different from the regular DQs. You don't control monsters, there a few that do but it mostly people(this isn't one of them). The story is told through different chapters, 1-4 tells you what each one did before meeting the Hero in 5. 5 is the heart of the game where you go out and save the world. 6 is the bonus which this video is from.

  • Yeah, I just finished it about an hour ago. It's great.

  • damn i hate enix for not realeasing the ps1 version of this game translated. i love the ds, and i love dragon quest but dragon quest is a game much better on tv fullscreen at home than on the go on a tiny screen. at least they didnt mess it up by adding stylus controls. that would SUCK

  • They made the remake too easy :( But it was still an amazing nostalgia trip.

  • i wish i had saro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • God now I'm really looking forward to completing Chapter 5 of DQ4DS

  • The gameplay is seriously better than Dragon Quest VII.

  • you know there all the same exact game engine DQ 1-8 remakes and all, so it cant be. but dq7 did have a crappy warp everywhere design

  • フリーザみたいwww

  • Well, Akira Toriyama DID do the artwork...

Sorry, I don't know how to Speak Japanese so I hope you can understand this. XD

  • @VinchenzRock i told @74678922 what you said except in japanese

  • @Emeraldfire60 Thank you

  • @74678922 これはVinchenzRockが試みていたものである言うことを: それで、Akira Toriyamaはしたアートワークを…

  • god. im still training to beat this guy!!!

  • why at 6:50 did it look like he casted the ff6 "Ultima" spell?

  • The spell you're talking about is called Magic Burst (Madante in the PS1 version), and, I must say, I don't know WHY it looks like a multicolored version of Ultima, but it looks pretty badass regardless. It expends all MP to hit the opposing party for lots of damage (2 or 3 damage for each MP used, I believe.)

  • when he take 2000 damage he growth his legs and hands and when he take 3500 - 4000 damage he will move to perfect form . then when he take 6000 damage he become darker and when he damge total 10.000 hp he lost . so ge has 10.000 hp

  • I know the exact HP its the same amount of PSX and NDS

    1st-1800

    2nd-2000

    3rd-1800

    4th-4000

    Total=9600

  • I just love when boss trasform. Especially in DQ. Way Evil priest transform in this video was just so beautiful.

  • This guy looks like a Necrosaro re-color, is it a hidden boss? Akira Toriyama does art for DBZ and DQ is that why it looks like Freeza?

  • Yes, only in the PS and DS versions of DQ4. It's Radimvice. Basically, they add an extra chapter where he gets the Esturk Power, like a bonus. In fact, Saro JOINS You to fight him.

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Saro joins the party? I mos def need to get the ds version (whenever it comes to America)

  • am i the only person to think that evilpriest is colored just like Freeza from DBZ?

  • haha it does look like it

  • Akira Toriyama is responsible for the art in both DQ and DBZ, so that's why. A lot of his characters have very similar features.

  • i like it how the hero gets decent mp on DQ4

cuz on DQ3 the hero didn't you would be lucky

if you could cast HealUsAll Twice, but on this

you could do necrosaro and evil priest+

easily plus HealUsAll costs 62 MP on DQ3

  • What'[s up with the badguy? Why does he have the same transformation stuff as (spoiler)Necrosaro?(/spoiler) Is he a super/optional boss? :o

  • This is actually the bonus chapter for the remake.

He's Evil Priest (otherwise known as Radimvice in the US Version for the NES). He was one the four bosses you have to beat to lift the barrier to Necrosaro's castle.

As for his form, he masters the Secret Of Evolution, but unlike Necrosaro he retains his original body and memory. But he will only fight you if Necrosaro is in the group.

  • Whoah, for the remake? Necrosaro joins you too? The news keeps coming!!

  • Yep. After the first encounter with two bosses from the bonus dungeon, you go to the World Tree to recover an item called the Flower Of World Tree. The item when placed on her grave resurrects Rosa. Who in turn speaks to the newly evolved Necrosaro. After her tear lands on him he is restored to his humanoid form.

He learns moves exclusive to him and can equip with cursed items without suffering their ill effects.

  • I wish there was a DQIV Translation for the DS or PSX-- I can't wiat until FF4 DS :O

  • Wow. I ****ing want this, DQV, and DQVI on the DS in America so bad.

  • I so want to get the remake for the DS! can't wait till it comes out in america!

  • this game's already in english on the ds meaning it will definitely get a NA release. I'm currently playing it in english and I had no idea this was such a great game...i love it!! lol

  • Man, if this is truly the case, I can only hope what you say holds true. Square-Enix would be foolish not to re-release this great game proper. Let's hope the bonus chapter is in too, eh?

  • Nope, it's DW IV.

  • Definitely an Akira Toriyama design. He kinda looks like Esturk/Necrosaro + Frieza from Dragonball Z.
