Anyone know what sort of camera they're using to track it all that way? One hell of a lens/stabilizer system to follow it that far away all the way to landing.

I watched this live on the internet. These guys are sharp as a tack. Like leadimprov said, these are the best of the best. Very sad that the shuttle program is very close to it's end. But there will be more to follow. It seems that private enterprise will have a major stake in it all. We are witnessing history...

These shuttle pilots are the best of the best of the best. Imagine spending a couple weeks in a box in space, then having ONE shot at landing America's most prized machine. A bit of pressure, no? They handle it so well.

i live in fort pierce Florida and when the shuttle passed over me was 15 miles west of me whe it did i heard the two sonic booms it was awesome it shook the windows i live about 70 mile south of ksc .
