I think past some years the purpose is defeated, it has become more a circus than rendition to the great saint .probably to satisfy somebodys ego.... this particular lady (Anuradha or whatever) seem to be a arrogant show off, her audacity is unparalleled.
Ya.. true.. It looks like its Anuradha Krishnamurthy.. I wonder whether she is boozed or wat.. At 4:01 too, the whole thing is spoilt by that voice.. it makes the concert horrible, to say the least..
The learned seniors have emphasised many times that by merely praising and
praying a Devout Devotee like St Thyagaraja, one can attain GOD. The Aradhana
is considered as a sacred place for paying obiesance to the great Rama Baktha
St Thyagaraja and everyone participating in the Aradhana is also considered a
great Devotee & it is no place for criticism

I think the cacophony and the lady who sang at an octave in which she was comfortable with is Anuradha Krishnamurthy....

Apparently one of the singers sang at an octave she was not comfortable with at higher swaras.

What was the cacophony between 1:56 and 2:10?

I am reminded of my only visit to Thiruvaiyaru back in the 60's - days of MS and MLV. Thanks for sharing this and many other clips...Ranga
