ALSO! For example, you can hold BOTH the green button and the blue button, on the guitar while playing the guitar or bass, but if the blue note is coming, you can strum and it still counts. Does that mean I cheated? NO!

You can also use the buttons near the strum bar on the guitar for the solos without actually strumming, so does that mean I am cheating if I am using them? NO!

Its just how the game was built.
