That preacher sure seems to relish telling everyone how terrible it's going to be in hell. Almost reminds me of the older kids at summer camp who try to tell the most goriest stories in order to scare and upset the younger kids. It's basically a form of bullying. Somewhere in the back pew of the congregation, a guy is secretly jerking off during the sermon.

Listen to all the speculation about hell that this man is speaking (0:15-0:35). No Scripture. No Exegesis. No looking at all of what Scripture says about this subject. Just plain old 'vain babblings' of man. You cannot prove to me from Scripture, except with 'symbolic passages', that the lake of fire is continual, conscious, burning throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity. It is not found in Scripture. Amen to that, my friend. Scripture is quite clear... the wages of sin are DEATH! the gift of eternal life is only given to those who accept Christ, the unbelievers die.

@skyangel1100 Thanks....and I know that oh so well. I fight the tempations of sin everyday. I have many victories, but I also am defeated occasionally. I know where my heart is, and so does my Father. I try to make it simple as I can for people to accept Christ. If the they truly do accept him, then the turning away from worldly things will come naturally. Once saved, the Holy Spirit resides in a true believer, and gives us a guilty conscious when we go against what Christ wants us to do.

But I examined my heart, and I realized that I had 1)Great desire to defend my Lord when someone would slander his name 2)Shame and guilt when I commited a willful sin 3)The overwhelming desire to ask my Father to forgive me and strengthen me in that temptation 4)Came to the realization that satan wants me to doubt my salvation.

@skyangel1100 I understand completely. I questioned the Lord when Daddy died when I was only 26 and he was 54. He died a painful, cancerous death. I couldn't understand it. Daddy was a fine Christian man and couldn't understand me when I was so rebellious. He is one of the finest men I ever known. We as humans do not know God's ways because he is above us. I still wonder why, but Jesus suffered more than any of us could. We are not above him. That helps me cope with Daddy's suffering.

This was probably made in the fifties or sixties but the message is still true today. Jesus has done everything to save us from a burning hell but people choose to reject the message. They choose the pleasures of sin for a season. Read the Bible and repent of your sins, trust in Christ and the blood he shed on calvary and you will not go to Hell.
