If the producers were smart they couldve made it resemble the books better and the movie couldve made more money but they didnt so it didnt. And they messed up the storyline so much that a second movie would be almost impossible to resemble the books in any sense and therefore, lose the cirque du freak fanbase and only gain people who have never even heard of the books.

@udee765 The movie is all wrong. They tried to make a movie from three books. So lazy. And Cirque du Freak is horror, not comedy. And, in the book, Mr. Tiny is a powerful and sarcastic being, not a creepy guy crazy about an adolescent fight!!!!

And there is no monkey girl. WTF.

In the 3th book, Darren falls for Debbie, a normal girl.

I liked the Larten Crepsley... but that's because I love John C. Reilly.

I recommend the manga.

Only good thing about the movie was John C Reily, he's hilarious, the rest just seems that Darren Shan (Author) just let them fuck about with the storyline as much as they wanted. very disappointing, your not even supposed to find our that Steven Leonard is the Lord of the Vampeneze until at least 3/4 of the way into the story, this was supposed to be a very dramatic, violent, heartbreaking tale, they turned it into a bunch of childish, sell-out bullshit.

The series is very dark and serious, where as this is a light hearted family comedy. For example when Darren is buried alive he describes how its long, drawn out, terrifying experience. In this movie he plays on a hand held games console the whole time like fuck all is happening. I tell you, this movie was a slap in the face.
