I think The most thrill I had on this game I was playing as the IDF guy, and I was like "Fuck this run and gun shit" So I decided to choose a different approach. I had to Kill the leader of this group. So I figured I would do it without killing anyone. I snuck through the entire camp without alerting one Enemy. That was fun. The diffrence was that Later very rarly can you do that, because I use up close and personal tactics with the Machette/ Pistol and you cant be stealthy with the Machette.

That's bullcrap - This game is basically GTA:SA turned FPS in an african enviroment, with only two factions that give you missions instead of 4 or 5, and every mission is either "kill someone" or "Blow shit up" - and Buddys give you always "alternative" which is "Kill someone" "Blow shit up" or "Steal something" and make you go all the way to the other side of the map through endless patrols and checkpoints - and there're 2 endings which are basically one ending from two PoV's
Though it is kinda fun to play as a sniper, especially with the bolt-action rifle... Searching for the best lookout or hiding between the debris - if you can live through the mentioned checkpoints that respawn like every five minutes... I'd say it's better sniper game than Sniper: Ghost warrior, and that's saying something.
cod looks nice and plays well as for being realistic, well if you think thats a realistic interpretation of an actual gun battle then more power to you...next time theres a real war and you get killed lets hope you got more points so you can spawn LOL
My problem with this game and I retract my previous statements is it's bugy as hell the game freezes after 50 percent can be annoying. But what I don't like is the fact that you cant ask me why I don't like the game all you can do is insult me not cool.
You insulted a game near and dear to many people, and with the overflow of cod fanboys corporations will now all copy COD as for original concepts like far cry and the like we will probably begin to see games like oblivion elder scrolls farcry hitman and other games that reward freedom of choice to a bullshit Linear progression of content and then for endgame content a god awful grenade fest where the sole objective is to shoot people.
@IAMSOUP call of duty plays all the way through no screen freezes no game bugs it just plays. Far Cry doesn't do that it locks up it freezes I have had to return the game mulitiple times because of it if far cry 2 didn't have all the bugs it would be one of the best games out there and Ubisoft is a corporation.
I have 360 version so I will try ps3 version and see if there is any difference if there is then great can u understand were comin from. Its just kind of lame paying money for a game and only getting half of it.
@IAMSOUP How exactly? By having worse graphics than the PC version or by not being able to update the game so you can't fix the hundreds of game-breaking bugs and glitches vanilla Far Cry 2 has?

It's a shame, the game's graphics, combat, driving, and story were top-notch.
But the game's consistency and voice-acting were so bad that it drug it down to the floor.
The Jackal's character was too good for this game.

Yeah, Open world and story my ass.
