Slayers best album by far, they should have continued with stuff like this instead of just going ultra heavy for the sake of being ultra heavy, show no mercy is the only slayer i can still listen to and enjoy, the rest make me cringe at how bad they are, excessive speed for no reason laced with shit solos and no basic song structure.

@SkinGrindCleaver Sorry to name the newest album from a 30+ year band, but Seasons was already mentioned to you. World Painted Blood had great song structure, and I mean the whole album. There was not a single song that was too fast. Hell Awaits was also very similar to Show No Mercy, and actually had a little bit of a slower pase, and longer, more complex writing.

@MegaRattlehead666 Many of the first Thrash bands (in the early 80's) were heavily influenced by NWOBHM, so of course their first albums have strong Maiden and Priest influences. Remember, when Slayer put SNM out, Thrash wasn't a fully developed genre yet.This album would actually be more Proto-Thrash since it has just as much NWOBHM in it than it does straight up Thrash.

In this case not fucking knowing that SNM came out before RtL and claiming this ripped off Creeping Death.
