Famine set in, same with most great wars. People conscripted to fight in the army or work on military projects meant a lot of people weren't there to work on farms etc. Also people where forced to abandon their farms when armies came to close. Then where you have famine you always end up with disease and plagues. They think famine and disease caused by and during wars have killed more civilians than every sword and bullet ever made.

Yes, these Taiping rebels did bad THEY did not understand the full meaning of christian as a chinese christian I say they did violence no good. But in truth Christians are not like that. Back then many people mix up Christianty with violence which is yeah much messed up.

一個封建專制推翻另一個。。。結果還是老百姓在腳底下。。。早晚­要失敗。。

我看还可以，但是确实不应该正说太平天国。但是也要看到政治嘛，­老共应该还是不希望你否定太平天国，因为大家毕竟都是农民起义出­身，都破过四旧，都搞死很多人，都折腾得厉害。在这样的环境下，­弄出一个这样的剧来，基本上把太平天国的特点都阐明出来，很不容­易了。
