Baptism FOR the remission of sins. = Remission of sins was instituted in the death, burial, and ressurection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is a picture of that. You die, are buried (placed under water since it would be stupid to literally bury someone) and you are raised again. You are baptised because (FOR) it is a type of sacrifice of Christ. In other word baptism represents the work done on the cross. The baptism is for the remission. It is not for salvation. JESUS WAS BAPTISED. He was not saved.
