Mac and Pc's both have their strong points. I like the touchpad on a macbook pro, the little previews when you browse. Things Pc's don't have.

1) Any major PC brand out there lets you customize the hardware put in it, you can even build your own. With a Mac, you have to accept what hardware they choose to put in, there is no choice.
2) While windows is highly compatible with practically any program made today, Mac is only compatible with its own products and a select few of others.
3) Windows saves you money. Mac overcharges for everything, including the looks.

assclown it isn't a matter of preference its a matter of know how. since I can build my own pc (as well can others) from different parts I can pick and chose what I want and what I know is only added in to up the cost. Since there are so many "pc" companies out there there is a lot of compitition if you know where and when to shop for parts you can really get good deals. every time I build a pc either for myself or for someone else its usually under 400 and i brake out the good stuff for it.
I could get a fire wire pci card for like 5 bucks, but why? every device I have ever bought came with usb like my digital camera, fax, scanner, printer, and other devices all use usb. For upgrades my computer 5 years ago was preaty good there wasn't anything on the market that my pc couldn't play, and for less then 100 bucks I trippled its capabilities. now i can add a firewire card to my pc if i need to, but can you add a usb card for the same price to your mac or would you have to buy a new1?

Remember Mac has not been around as long as PC. But the majority of programs are switching over to mac. And lastly macs are better compatible with apple products, which millions of people have. i think every game cannot be for the mac because it uses a different graphics api, however im not 100% that that would make a big problem. mostly because there really is almost no incentive to make a game for mac. mac is at most 7% market share, windows is 89% so why would you need to make a game for mac?

What and give up Top shelf graphics and performance?- Lose out on the literally widest range of games, The best FPS's, MMO's RTS's are on PC. The immersion factor on the PC is in a league of its own. WTF a PSP? Ya buy a PSP if you want to game, that will be sufficient The PC is at the forefront of gaming both Technically and creatively. its ok if u use pc for web design i guess because you have dreamweaver and things, but if you are a photographer, you need mac for aperture and stuff i guess? if you are a DJ, or electronica band, you need stuff like scratch serato and its all on mac. then if you edit video, theres final cut, although i think sony vegas is much better. haha anyway i think u have a good point too

yupp so of course you get your hand of adobe master suite on windows lol. but certain creative software is on the mac haha. i still have to use flash on my PC though because i am using flash 8, not so adapted to new interface of CS4 so when at that time macromedia did not have a ver for mac. so yeah i have no choice because its a requirement at school

Where are all these mac games you're talking about anyway? ea (one of thee largest game makers) only has 6 games for macs, oh and one of the biggest companies to convert pc games to mac is oh yeah MS! One isn't better than the other entirely. I must say that Windows is actually quite inferior other than it's vast compatibility(almost by accident) Recently...we've started to see games coming out for OS X at the same time they come out for Vista and this will continue to be even more prevalent... The system requirements are NOT the same.neverwinter nights 2 didn't come out for the mac till over a year later, win requires 128 of ram mac needs 256 win requires 16mb video card mac needs 32 win needs 1.2 hdd space mac needed 2.1 so much for them being the same. thats just one game. assclown it isn't a matter of preference its a matter of know how. since I can build my own pc (as well can others) from different parts I can pick and chose what I want and what I know is only added in to up the cost. Since there are so many "pc" companies out there there is a lot of compitition if you know where and when to shop for parts you can really get good deals. every time I build a pc either for myself or for someone else its usually under 400 and i brake out the good stuff for it.

I could get a fire wire pci card for like 5 bucks, but why? every device I have ever bought came with usb like my digital camera, fax, scanner, printer, and other devices all use usb. For upgrades my computer 5 years ago was preaty good there wasn't anything on the market that my pc couldn't play, and for less then 100 bucks I trippled its capabilities. now i can add a firewire card to my pc if i need to, but can you add a usb card for the same price to your mac or would you have to buy a new1?
