another great tip that will help anybody, put on some music that inspires you, fills you with emotion, for example, my choices would be system of a down, korn, and rammstein cause im a metal head, one time when i tried to draw jack skellington i put on all the songs from nightmare revisited cause it made me focus on the topic, try it, it really helps

I dont agree..its not being slack...you have to have life too not just drawing all the time..how about your fitness and health and friends and family...I guess the new generation of geeks are the one who are also fit and sporty and I dont think you belong to that generation. we can be talented, good looking and fit geeks and not the stereo type geeks ones..

another way is to stay awake in the night until you are totaly exhausted... than you will have no choice but to go to sleep... than to wake up early to work, come home feeling like a corpse, go to sleep early in this day or if you just have to draw some more and the next day you can say that your sick - it will not be a lie! :)

Wow Bobby, I'm finishing up this series right now and I have to say, it's REALLY helping me with motivation and finding out those flaws in myself so I can gain more skill faster.
If you're practicing, there's no such thing as your art not going anywhere. Just because you can't see progress doesn't mean it's not happening. Don't look for growth because it's like watch a flower grow. It's too slow to be appreciated by the mind. Just draw for the fun of it and don't judge your work. Make it about having fun and the growth will take care of itself.
I used to think I wasn't progressing until I looked at my art from a couple months ago and noticed a vast difference in my skills. It's one of the best feelings in the world. Never stop drawing! Never stop painting!
