There's nothing in the world that says Thanksgiving more than Perry Como singing this song. It brings back memories of my childhood. I can see him now singing it at the end of his Thanksgiving show. Those were the days......
I love this so much and could never get tired of hearing it. My father used to play this on the organ and also the piano and I heard it again recently after a trip to Thursfords Xmas Spectacular in Norfolk where is bought back some wonderful memories.
This time of year I miss the sound of lovely songs sung by those with lovely voices. I miss sweet songs sung the way they were written without some person's individual funk added to it. These are moving and heart wrenching with memories of holidays gone by where Christmas and Thanks Giving were about Christ the Lord, instead of only Santa and turkey.
When Perry sang songs of faith he put his heart and soul into every one.He was the perfect role model for every human being.thank you for posting this beautiful song i love so much
Going back a number of years when I was still a kid in high school, Perry Como had a weekly TV show, and I remember just as vividly today as I did back then how every year at Thanksgiving, Perry concluded his program with "Bless This House." The years have come and gone, but both the beautiful lyrics of the song and the humble but powerful style of Perry's voice lives on, evoking just as much feeling today as it did back then. Thanks so much for sharing this.
God Bless you Perry:)
