Just noticed that the video clips are from The Flaming Lips- She Don't Use Jelly? The Stone Roses 'Fools Gold' and 'Nirvana's 'Come As Your Are'. Do I get ten points?
i hope everyone knows this has been slowed down and that this song in its tru form is in a much higher key. i think i like it like this better though.
@eldinbega i think this track was released on an unofficial album of unreleased tracks. i just dont get how thats possible. if they never released them, then who did?
@kreep182 I know that soundtrack for I'm the Elephant, U Are The Mouse is also worth looking for. I found a copy on ebay a long time ago on ebay that wasnt cheep, it was a factory style silver cd not burned and claimed to be an official release because it was a silver cd not burned but I still dont think it was. Maybe I will look for Rachels email and ask her about the bootlegs and if they ever plan to get an official release.
@kreep182 They are the outtakes from the Souvlaki album. Lot's of artists have songs they record for albums that never make it to the final cut. These outtakes and demos have been around for as long as I can remember. Only ever released on bootlegs. Who was the original source who leaked the outtakes I'm unsure of. It could of been the band or someone from the studio. you could always send Rachel an email and ask her yourself. I sent her one years ago, and she replied with a very nice email.
@FuckingStanz hah! that was me like a moth ago, if you really want to know, this is still my favorit video on youtube. and i still think you are a genious for puting this toghether.
which version is this? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I would rip it straight from youtube, but the quality is too poor. Is this the demo version of the song?
well, im actuatlly thinking u did it on pervous (yes i have a slowmind lol) either way its great, just thoug it wouldbe nice to respect the actual track bpm
hey, i you did this, why the audio track is pitched down?? if this were you it would be nice to re-render it! justt sayin, about the vid itself, its awesome :)
Being a fan of all that is shoegazer, I could listen to this all day, of course, it wouldn't hurt to be on a menu of different drugs, but even w/o that, this particular music has an undeniable Cocteau Twins influence bordering seriously on plagarism. We loved Guthrie and Frazier and troup but to directly steal their sound...
comon, do you actually get the same feeling from listening to ct as from listening to slowdive? i love both the bands, and if you know sonting about music you will know the diferrence between copying sond or "integrety" and useing a tqunice. what slowdive has done apart from lots of bands out there was creating their own soundscape. If you coulnd use tequnics that others used before then youd have to stop useing guitarrs and anything but you imagination. this doesnt sound like ct.
@jcatjoey I really, really love this song, but haven't been able to really get into Cocteau Twins music yet, so if you could recommend me some songs of theirs which are in the same vein as this song I'd appreciate it! Thanks in advance.
Good song. I never knew who these guys were til right now. I just downloaded after hearing this. I also read about them on Wikipedia. I hear they loved the Smiths, I also do.
it is rare. i was a huge fan of slowdive when they were still together, this wa never released. it may be more familiar to the p2p fans , but this was not one of their most famous tracks, believe that.
ew @ all the haters on this video......................BEST SONG OF THE 90'S BY FAR. FUCK NIRVANA. FUCK PEARL JAM. THIS SONG ROOLS.
