Waw fantastic video but the systems.. they look so so complicated! I'm a Former 737 pilot and now im assigned to the 767-300ER on wich i have over 1000houres by now but this... seems to be like a hybrid between airbus and boeing?!

Boeing is so easy 'm having a harder time to get dressed... but this? Seems madness :p

This is a truly excellent product. The only problem with it is inherent to the aircraft itself: It's systems, particularly the FMS aren't very intuitive. (Especially if you are used to Boeing FMS systems.) PMDG did an excellent job on this software. You really must read the manual and follow the checklists in order to take this thing flying.

Payware aircraft are at least 983472938046723908674263482936­4892374 times better than any of the default or freeware planes... Well, the good payware planes anyway, there are some shitty ones, most FS9 planes that had a hasty FSX port job done to them and resold... watch out for those.

RealAir and CaptainSim are the best, Flight1 is good, but avoid their Mustang unless your rig is a Cray XT5: (exaggerating, but only slightly... you've been warned)

Hello m8. I have a big problem to setup my MCDU for MD-11. Its just so many numbers i have to put in. Some i know what they are, some i have no idea how to find them Its just so enoyin when u want to fly and without it its almost impossible. Will be realy gr8 if u could make a film about this. All i need to know is what i have to put in if i want to fly for example EPWA - EGLL - and then LFPG ect ect. When u play online is hard to get all this numbers

this is a big headache.. i spent 25 dollars on my new headache becouse the pmdg 747-800 is a bull s..i got a lot of errors in the installation plus now it said that i reached the installation times...oh my god..this is my frist product and this is what i got...why the are selling this crap to the people..we work hard here to pay bills..anyone know how i can request a refund for this crap 747..what a bad customer support..i never go to buy another product from pmdg..

Not sure which product you're referring to, this video is for a MD-11, not the 747. PMDG have excellent support, if you're a paying customer you'll know you have access to this.

I suggest if you have bought the product, you go visit their forums for ask for help. I guarantee you'll get assistance.

@Juniorpm80 I know this is an old post...But I needed to write and let you know, that I have been where you have been before with other products and its a terrible headache. I hope you have had the problems sorted. I have brought many PMDG aircraft and never had any trouble..they are rated as pretty much the best you can get for good reason. The installation is easiest of ANY aftermarket aircraft. One click setup!

Reading these comments, it's sad to see how such a great hobby can be ruined by a bunch of stupid and clueless people.

For example, somebody asking if this beautiful bird is made by abacus and if it will run on fs98!

Or the people who torrent payware then complain how it isn't working.

This is a product for ADVANCED simmers, not beginners. If you can't even start the engines in something as simple as the 737 without pressing ctrl+e, don't even bother buying/downloading this.

by the way, I dont think you are suppose to open all isolation valves when you are starting up, because you want to build up bleed air duct. pressure. You use the Iso Valves to supply air from an already operating engine to another yet to operate engine. You want to always have the opt. pressure to start. Also it seemed that for this started up you needed ext. air. Even though, the N2 kept building up incrementally the there it was unecessary. :)

by the way, can I ask what the difference between FSX and FS9 is? because I hear everyone thanking FS9.

Also, about the MD-11 its a good plane, but I just dont like the way the layout of choosing 2D panels seperatly. I can operate normally around the VC, but its better for me when I get the 2D of every panel in order to operate faster. They put such useless functions in the (Shift+Number) area, unlike the PMDG 747.

Im not sure wether this is just me, but when ever i go into VC view, the FPS drops rapidly and becomes really laggy, is this the same for everyone else?????

The VC does require more resources, so the fps will drop a little. If it's really laggy get Ccleaner and clean out your temp files and registry. Then do some serious defrags. And last turn off your antivirus before flying.

No not all there is no difference in the two planes are the same not in the way but both are very good and very realistic and challenging. Love and flying them both they are both real hard it is to make it real:)

Yes, I would spend so much money. In fact my PC broke a few months ago and I can't run FSX on the new one. I've been waiting so long for this addon that I'm gonna buy a new PC just to be able to reinstall FSX and "fly" this MD-11.

HELP ME PLEASE!!i just got the pmdg md-11, its in my aircraft, and i load it up.... i cant pop up anything( FMC, 2d panel, overhead panel, etr.) because its just a black, blank screen in place of it, or its not even that much. also, the avionics are not working at all, flaps and spoilers dont work, the yoke just sits sideways......i cant do ANYTHING WITH IT! EXEPT KINDA FLY IT AND LAND WITHOUTANY AID OF FLAPS, SPOILERS, ETR. help!

You know how you can just type in a deature and destination in the 747 pmdg then select what runway you want on depart or arrive,then the runway shows up on your display. is there a quick way to get a runway to show up on MD11? I dont want to make full flightplans sometimes. Sometimes i just want to do a quick takeoff and landing.

Nice, but there is an easier procedure, with shortcut keys on keyboard. So you don't have to click a "half an hour", before you take off. Anyway nice vid!

The MD-11 is more advanced because PMDG knew more about the capabilities of FSX today when compared about a year ago, when the 747X was launched.

While both the 747X and MD-11 are very realistic, the MD-11 have a few extras such as better framerates and better animations.

no, the MD-11 has the best simulation out of the two but the 747-400 is also simulated very nicely. Both of them are just terrific aircraft and are the two most realistic planes in FS but the MD-11 is more indeapth

You should DEFINATLY buy the MD11 instead, it is alot better IMO.

Also, the grafics are more up to date and it gives you a fantastic flying experience. :)

They didn't work on the 747 as long as the MD-11 but it is still a very VERY realistic simulation of the 747 what aircraft do you like more ? if you like the 747 more get he 747 if you like the MD-11 get the MD-11 they are both simulated perfectly.
