Agnosticism--doesn't Vicks Formula 44 help w/ that? lol
Why feel guilty abt not into politics? Seems in the current atmosphere, politics and politicians aren't worthy of guilt. Yes, maybe 1 vote can make a difference, but not worth extra concern. Cynical (sp?), prob. But have lost faith in current world governments. sigh...
BTW someone made a page pretending to be me for a while. If you Kim or anyone received a nasty email from the clone page pretending to be me, I have a lawsuit about that. Contact me privately because I may be able to get you between $500.00 and $5,000.00 from this lawsuit. See the Description box in my recent video for a link to my lawsuit. :)
@9nesteg I heard it is a sign of creativity, as these people cannot habituate. B/c ideas are not habituated, and can come up more often. Will look up this "On din" seems interesting. I suffer a lot from this if I have to be in a nosey environment. Once worked in an office with a really loud guy talking all the time, could not think, drained me of energy.
You said you are an agnostic. Andre Malraux said agnosticism is not new but agnostic cultures are. If you study the art and operas of the 1700's until now, the subject matter becomes increasingly godless. Now, Europe is post-Christian.
(Malraux was De Gaul's cultural affairs minister.) Off the subject: are you left handed?
The "proof" I see for life after death are all the stories from near-death experiences, psychedelics, religion (i.e. enlightenment) - they all share a common idea, without any prompt from others. Of course there are, for example, yogis who are aware of this state, which could then influence their experiences but non-spiritual have been in this state too. Obviously these people lived to tell their story so it could be explained by the quick release of DMT, but what other proof are we going to get
@Rockguitarnow And this comment has the more quantity of likes??... Mmmm I think that whether the subscribers of this channel are getting more dumb or just the dumbest put likes here..
@mgibsondrunk Kim gets a lot of "Like" votes because she is such a good person. I think most every single guy wants to marry her. I know I would if she wanted to. :)
@Rockguitarnow the vote was not in regard of Kim's beauty .. but a pointless statement --- so there you have --- why so many thumbs up for this comment???
@mgibsondrunk If you really want to know, I started up a secretive protection group on Youtube called "King Solomon's Army". If you want to learn more about it, read King Solomon's Book of Proverbs in the Old Testament.
@Rockguitarnow My friend had a black lab he bought for duck hunting, since the breed are known to be such good swimmers. He was terribly dismayed when the dog tippy-toed across the surface of the bayou to retrieve the duck instead of swimming. Probably didn't want to get his coat wet....
You really cannot see the "why" of consciousness after death?!? Well, that's pretty obvious: so that we can meet and make sweet love 4EVA', what else?
There is a very clear message and step by step tutorial from the Occupy world movement: "more equal opportunities", and that is applied in the mean time by stopping education, pension and social health cuts, as well as cutting military investment. Don't repeat what the mainstream media brainwashes you with, there is a VERY clear message and procedure to follow from the Occupy World movement, just search the internet.
Well.. its clear to me that that poor parrot was put there to chirring intentionally.. to relate some recent video you made... you should let him free or pass him to another person.
The question about consciousness is already made by you in one of your old vids.
It s ok you are agnostic.. You must have some mottos related to some info inoculated to your brain.
Just let the parrot alone and he wont bother you anymore.
Ok so since you are smart and into art, you should check out this film director, he is amazing: Richard Linklater.
Before Sunrise/ Before sunset are really good love movies for the thinking/introspective person. Really awesome themes!
And of course Waking Life, which is basically a philosophy text book spoken beautifully through lucid dreams. And it also talks about consciousness after death if you want another point of view :P
@ChristopherMarlowe Well he's not my bird. He drives me crazy though. He has the temperament of a snake but not the virtuous silence of one. Parrots also, possibly, remind me of the type of person I do not get along with. I've graduated from my childish hatred though and I will feed him treats pretty much every day. Still not holding him though.
perhaps the reason why TJ didn't answers your questions was because of the same reasons you gave in your video. You are right. Such things are for e-mail exchanges, real time conversations or videos exclusively devoted to the topic if one is sufficiently interested and not for Q and As where there needs to be room for other questions answered. Regardless it is good to ask questions one can contemplate on there own time.
If I might volunteer, your response about politics said to me that you have difficulty relating to why people are interested in it. As someone who is, what interests me about it is it's a discussion about the framework for our society, and there are implications about that which affect our everyday lives. It is possible to look at our government and economy as one would regard systems, and that's mostly what the arguments are about, though there is a lot of noise in them that's frustrating.
@AIexandar A sure sign that she is not narrow-minded but has a broad field of interests, unless of course the reason for the choice is the film "Matrix" :-)
Nah'. I'm not into cute dogs. I like rottweilers; something capable of protecting land rather than a companion - although I think any dog makes an excellent companion.
Good to hear you talking about the brain again. That's what I'm here for - I'm not really interested in music. You are clearly talented in that regard though.
More brain videos! Oh' and bigger earrings (sparkly, shiny ones)! :)
@J2897Tutorials You know, I do favor big dogs too. I'd get a great dane or an akita if I could take care of one now. As it is, little dogs are just more convenient. I used to really not like them but they're not bad! Because of size limits, I think it would be cool to get a papillon. They are the smartest of all the toy dogs.
@Arkenholm Although ScienceDaily sometimes dramatizes some of the scientific findings (media hoorah and all that), it nevertheless provides a decent update on current research. I sometimes step off the train and glean through what Psychology Today has to offer, however, in general I would say it is more artificial, and therefore I prefer ScienceDaily more. If anyone has another internet destination to suggest, please proceed, I would love to hear about different science news resources.
