  • i have just purchased an airbrush and compressor, the air is flowing through the needle, the problem is i can`t get any liquid to flow from the paint cups, any advice for me? cheers

  • not criticizing, because a lot of these tips are stellar man and i appreciate it. but im a professional auto painter. and let me tell you that putting WD40 anywhere within a 10 foot radius of anything you are painting, or will be using to paint, will cause problems. i dont know if you use basecoats, but for any viewers who plan to use these tips on an automotive finish, do NOT use WD40! use a spray gun lube or airbrush lube... WD40 will create fish eyes.

  • @godofm3tal1 i know

don't get it all over the finish

  • @richardarichter123 WD40 and other silicone lubricants stay in the air for months sometimes. If you clearcoat your work, it CAN produce fisheyes. common rule of thumb is not to let any silicone spray, or any spray for that matter, near your equipment, or spray areas. trust me man. ive seen cars go to shit real qick with fish eyes. worst thing a painter can see

  • @godofm3tal1 i know

  • thats the way! keep its up but that only for automotive work!

  • @cityboy908 for both really it mostly about airbrush paint how to get to run good

  • iwata iwata iwata, nothing else is quality. use laquer thinner to clean or two change color! spray laquer through the gun to push out remaining paint reduce 50/50 medium reducer and add a few drop of retarder when needing fine detail!

  • @cityboy908 could work

  • i have tried everything, i thin the paint down, and then it splatters like water, the airbrush is a cheap one with one of those attachment bottles, that keeps falling off, i keep taking it apart, and clean it properly, and it still does not work, clearly if i had purchased a more expensive airbrush, i would have had more success.

  • @joy2559 is it a single action airbrush

if it is a single action airbrush those are not even work the money

it might be that your paint might be to thin if comes out like water if you want film what the problem is and send me the video and i can look at it tell you what's going on.it is difficult to know what the problem is if you can not see it .

  • just bought a standard airbrush it`s terrible the paint comes out when it wants to, then it splatters, i think i`ll stay with oil paints,

  • @joy2559 got ot thin the paint and strain the paint get some pre thinded paint ready to spray like golden you could stray liquid ink 2 that goes threw nice and easy

  • @richardarichter123 cheers thanks for advice mate, i will keep trying

  • @joy2559 yea it does take time like regular painting takes time to learn airbrushing is just more frustrating that's all.lol... you will get it.

make shure your airbrush is clean

makes shure parts are good and get some ready to spray paint and you should be good good luck cheers

  • @joy2559 still having problems with my airbrush, i bought a standard 40 pound airbrush, it`s a disaster it functions for about 2 minutes, then it stops then it comes out in splatters,it`s terrible, it`s a sim airbrush, i can`t use it, it`s been a waste of money, can anyone advise me.

  • @joy2559 ok sounds like you not cleaning off the tip of your airbrush watch my video it explains how to clean the tip,if their is no paint coming out right look at the tip you probly got paint build up.

another problem can be that your not straining the paint ,little paint particals get stuck in between the tip and the needle in the airbrush and clogs the airbrush so it won't run right .thin your paint down and strain it and keep clening off your tip and you should be fine ,takes awhile get it
