I dance a couple of ways with my flow-wands, 1) to keep the illusion that it's magic or 2) to just flow with it and enjoy the fluidity that it gives you. In my honest opinion there is no right or wrong way to use the wand, it's all in the name F.L.O.W. have fun with it. I have in addition to a couple of them lengthened the string, which I must say has added great value and does help the illusion of it levitating when you are using the string as if it is two (fishing wire is great for this).
Try to imagine if the stick wasnt there....

Adding more left hand movement to your dancing will increase the illusion that it is magic...
And also remaining central and erect while the flow wand dances around YOU instead of you bending into the wand will look great.
