  • Hi there! I am trying to find out what is this particular oil that you use in this Dim IV.

A friend of mine owns one but he doesn't know what oil to put inside. If you could please give some help here! Thanx!

  • @misternogreco hello there! look for "echo oil" on ebay, there's a guy who apparently bought a whole barrel of the stuff and he sells it there. also, might be worth signing up (or at least snooping around) on the tel-ray oil-can effects forum, here: telrayoilcanaddicts.yuku (dot) com

i got lotsa good info off there. good luck!

  • Love to have one of these. Thanks for sharing!

  • I have one of the same units. I made a way to switch it on and off by inserting a 25k (not 250k) Ernie Ball volume pedal in between the "TO REVERB" line and the reverb input. This way, you can set the reverb on the amp for intensity, and use the pedal to slowly ramp it in.

I recently played with the larger model Dimension IV's and was disappointed. Both had ground issues and shocked me badly. I like this model the best for its vibrato. though!

I just got a Fender Echo-Reverb III, sounds good

  • There are several D4's. Mine is smaller, with "ON, REVERB, and VIBRATO." Other models have the same options but with more control, I believe. I know I've seen a large d4 unit with maybe a blend knob, or a master volume.

My unit will reach ungodly, resonant volumes if I set it up that way, but it's much more of a stufio tool.

  • are you high?

  • @meandmydevilblues ummm... not really, that i'd know... should i be?! ;)

  • @Pacafeliz :D

    Great guitar!

    Great plaing!

  • @meandmydevilblues ha! I was thinking the same ;)

  • The black dog at 0:59 is cute :-)

  • i love that you're playing a squier, but have a pile of blackface fender amps. the Tel Ray is great, especially when it distorts.

  • @jaikwillis Squire acutally made very high quality products back in the day, that is an 83'. The newer squires have much less quality. Those older squires are actually sought after by some collecters. Some people preffer those older squires over newer period fenders.

  • @Hellad00d yep that's true, sir! i actually have the "matching" white strat with rosewood board. those SQ-series Squiers are still underrated, but people are slowly realizing how cool they are. JV-series Squiers sell for over 1K already, SQ's will be next... so get yours NOW! ;)

  • Wow ... great demo .. I've never seen a demo of these rare oil can units. Plus this is a smaller unit than I've seen from time to time. Have you had to add the special oil to this one? You've got some very cool gear ... the Sound City is a great vibe!

  • LSD sound!.

  • Absolutely WONDERFUL for your first demo!! You did a great job, and your dog's head was a GREAT TOUCH. Not JOKING! I laughed when I saw his head pop up from the bottom of the screen! Just kinda like "uh..yeah, I'm just a dog hangin' out here with my owner who plays cool guitar...ya got anything to eat? Here, let me get a whiff.....what's this camera smell like?" LOL!!!

  • thanks for your kind words! and sorry the crappy playing but i must admit i was a bit nervous... heh. i think i'll have to make some more demos of weird (less known) stomp boxes like the Coron Space Machine 70, Ibanez Mostortion, etc. i have lying around here.

    thanks and good luck!

    Pat.

  • I don't understand nothing but I like it :)

  • :) <3 pat
