  • I can't believe it, I just bought Boxcar's Gibson J-45 that he used on stage and TV and also the Grand Ole Opry. I also got 2 of his hats complete with all the pins in them. Also his guitar case with all the railroad stickers, One of his railroad costumes that he used on TV and stage. I got it from his son Larry. I can't tell ya how thrilled I am.My 12 year old son is also thrilled, knowing that someday it will be his someday as well it should, he plays the guitar way better than me, lol!

Hi, Congratulations on all your new (and old) additions. Good on you !! Must be a great feeling to see and feel those treasures. I'm a Dutch Country (and Boxcar Fan). Met him in person in the early 80's in Utrecht (The Netherlands). Great and sympathetic guy. In those days I organized Country Shows. Wonderfull period.

  • So much better than whatever so called "country star" is popular this week.

  • LECIL TRAVIS MARTIN, you were the greatest singer and entertainer in my opinion and at 85 I will try to see you in heaven in some future time.

  • Guild52: Agreed, the modern stuff is, with rare exception, ick. I grew up on the Grand Ol' Opry when my parents would watch it, as well as other country shows, listening to Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Boxcar Willie, and other greats of a bygone era. Now days it's all egotistical trash, not down to earth songs.

  • boxcar was one of the best that's for sure
