How touching!! You made me cry cause I never even owned a teddy bear in my life! (as a child growing up) Now I keep every single one of my bears or stuffies that I win out of those grab machines!! I've given a few away! But thank you for sharing your touching story!!
@avrilgurl100 I have not seen too many CPK's in stores these days. I am not actively collecting at the moment but I do not think they are making them however I could be wrong. As for the soft face ones, they are still making them and probably always will be.
If the zit stuff won't get the marker of Loren I tried to put foundation on her whitch was a mistake but I got that off. What can get the marker off besides zit stuff
@live2dance72 I really do not know...sometimes they are just going to be stuck like that. You could google Cabbage Patch Kids clubs and see if you can find a group that can help you more.
Oh. I've had my beanie for a while and she doesn't have cabbage pox. My friend has a first addition plastic head and it gas painted on hair and it has the WORST case of cabbage pox
At 0:37 that black one in the corned with the blue Sutherland and the white dress with sheep ( I think) on it. I have that one in white skin with red hair. Do you have any stuffed with beans? I have a little one w/ black skin and she wears such cute yellow outfit and her name is Cora Lucielle
@live2dance72 I don't have any of the bean filled ones from the 80's because they all seem to be prone to having pox but I do have one little one made by Playalong that was sent to me as a gift by my friend Jill when I was in the hospital in 2008
i think as a male doll collector myself , doll collectors are just great people ,boys do get over looked or frowned on sometimes , but we are on this planet once so enjoy something you like and dont let other people judge you , iam part of an online doll group giving identification of any type of doll ,its been a hobby for years,i collect any kind of doll though i do have a lot of cabbage patches , talkers preemie and a soft sculpture blonde girl with original clothes and boots,
i love your boy softies ,, sooo cute !! i collect only the boy ones ,, i love your boy with dark shag hair in the blue shirt ,, sooo cute !!!! the softies are my fav i have around 20 older style and 20 of the newer ,,, always make me smile when im feeling blue !! great cute vid x
i'm a guy and collect dolls as wel.l even cabbage patch kids. i have 13 of the 25th anniversary ones mostly girls. i have one boy . i collect vintage barbie dolls and other vintage dolls as well.and i nderstand everything you went through yuoy know there are alot of men who do collect dolls so we are not alone.
Can you tell me more about the doll at :35, with the pink shoes? Is it a Play Along Kid with a pacifier? I've only seen PA Babies with pacifiers, I never thought about it before!
Yeah i can relate to you in ways with this one for sure, I'm 22 and i collect Breyer horses(there like $50-80 a shot)...I wasnt much into dolls(everyones different)..but horses were the one thing that made me happy and smile..to this day my room is still full of them! As well I also still got my Spring horse, who totally not in the best shape, but I can still take a ride on him..his kool tons of ppl love him..
You've got quite a nice collection! I used to have about as many as you but many became victims of yard sales :( I still have all my Coleco kids though. I've always wanted one of the softies...how long did you have to save up for them?
Well, some of them I got on credit cards back in the day when I still had credit. lol But most of them I got from other collectors who let me do time adopt...which is essentially lay away,. I would take about two to three months to pay them off. Other collectos are usually so cool that way. Becuase collecting softies is really a rich man's game and if you aren't rich you have to rely on the kindness of other collectors who arent rich and are willing to let you take time to pay them. :)
Dolls were always a big thing with me, but only baby dolls, never barbies. and all my dolls were boys too.
But i have a huge collection of vintage care bears, and thats my collection, i love toys and anything childish. when im done with my big cross country move i will have to make a video of all my care bears in my collection.
honestly i would be up all night just to make sure they hadnt moved and i would have to make sure there were no sharp objects in the vicinity ... its all that movie 'Child's Play('s)' fault - i saw it as a little kid and its scarred me for life! lmao.
My mom used to do nails in a salon. This lady used to come in and she'd always bring a baby doll with her and she acted like it was her child. She's sit it in a chair next to her, have a coat, hat, gloves, she'd take on and off to go outdoors. She's hand it a juice box and cookies she'd bring. lol I swear to god. She wasn't crazy either just excentric, and she loved these dolls and she had no children so..Oh my mom said she had lil beds for them and everything in heer house! :)
Yep, if you do some reasearch into the original handstitched...they are called Helen Blues and were handstitched by Xavier Roberts himself. They can be worth that much if they are complete with birth certificates and everything. Crazy huh?
(cont) hopefully other kids will enjoy them as much as I did.
I'm a new viewer though btw and just recently subscribed. I really enjoy your videos and have probably watched them all, you talk about a lot of different things. Looking forward to seeing more!
Seems like a good thing to collect. There's a lot of them, and they're all so different. I kinda wish I had started collecting them as a child. I was given 4 or 5 through the years and LOVED playing with their hair (lol, I can remember one that came with a hair crimper, and back then that hair style was so popular) Anyway, I actually just collected baby dolls in general, and I had nearly 50 of them, until this past Christmas. I donated them.. and kind of wish I hadn't, but oh well! (cont)
coolbeans Taylor...I still have the dress I was wearing the last time my abuser dropped me off at the foster home it ripped getting out of the car but it symbolized a turning point in my little life because those same foster parents became my good momma and daddy and raised me as if I were there very own child~both passed now but what a gift they gave to me:O):O)
i dont like the 80 ones

She didn't come with the paci. I took a plastic paci from another doll and shaved down the part that goes into her mouth to make it fit. :)
