  • I'm curious, why biker has to hang the knee out when turning?

  • It's not just the knee, your supposed to get half of your butt as well as your head and shoulders into the turn that you're taking in order to shift weight off of the bike, moving the center of gravity to the outside of the turn, forcing your bike to remain more upright while in the turn, allowing you to turn at higher speeds. A lot of novice riders will shit their butt and knee, while leaving their head and shoulders in center with the bike causing a twist in their body

  • lol they dont have any choice, the knee is at the side of the bike and when u tilt it over ur knee will hit the floor eventually

  • To get lower so they can come of the turn faster

  • balance

  • actually, all of you guys are wrong. Yes, putting your weight on the inside turning peg creates a lower center of gravity while turning, but thats not WHY you hang your knee out on the track. You hange your knee out there to gauge how far you are leaning over because you are looking where you want to go further down the track, and the only way to really gauge how far you are leaned over is to touch your knee slider down. You arent supposed to just stick it on the ground and slide it always
