  • I've melted...makes me feel in love...

  • Fucking Fantastic, these obscure tracks mean the most to me.

  • type it in ... properly...

  • unknown artist - Disorder (Joy Division cover)

  • You are a splendid person.

  • Underrated

  • I really like this song by the Cure.

  • @YourProfessor Sure - what's the name of the song.........

  • I still have the vinyl but it's pretty unplayable so thanks for uploading in great quality!

  • Simple, but beautiful.

  • ==do you believe in truth? uuuh the lies we told of youth.

  • This, with Thieves Like Us, is the best (and only?) double b-sided record ever released. As mentioned elsewhere, the synth progression is punch in the stomach beautiful, marred only by the largest gob you've ever heard, towards the end of the song (4:00).

  • @GrahamDMS It's a sigh...........

  • @OldEchoes1 If only it were so! I guess we'll each hear what we want to. I hear a large drawing in of breath followed a second or so later by an explosion of spit, sampled and replayed at a lower pitch and therefore played over a longer time, so that the source of the sound effect isn't immediately apparent. But also, I do like the fact that they've subverted the beautiful ending.

  • @GrahamDMS Next, you'll be telling me I laughed throughout "Every second counts."

  • @GrahamDMS or "little."

  • @OldEchoes1 Excellent reply: I'm completely stumped as to how to come back. It's still a gob tho' :)

  • @GrahamDMS Apologies, your insight is evident.

  • @OldEchoes1 Hmmm. I'm thinking of a valentine's card, probably sent in jest by mates who should know better or possibly from someone who could turn out to have been the love of your life. You suspect, yet will never know, which it is. Cruel or just sociopathically cryptic?

  • Do you believe in youth? the history of all truth.......Wow. Bring in the beauty at 1:27 thank you.

  • cut the shit lads andjust listen and ENJOY,.....HMMMMMMMMMMM

  • NORTH CAROLINA <3

  • For over 15 years now, the opening bass line of this song pops into my head every now and then. It's stuck in my head for life. Thank God it's a great song!

  • When it was, who cares, but important as it was so different, your mum who liked John Denver, sorry an in thing, would adore this. Played a handful of times live apparently, to me the Best.

  • Great pictures.:) Thanks for posting.

  • One of the best b-sides I've ever heard.

  • beautiful

  • wallstv

  • this song is way better than anything that is current... true love....

  • Rub-a-dub-tastic!

  • great song great times, and what do kids grow up with now

  • @joss885 dont worrie bub you got a kid right here that loves this shit

  • I was in my late 20's when all this wonderful 80's music came out. I listened to a lot of progressive rock when i was growing up and of course I was into all that music. Then the 80's came along and the music just captured my imagination. I fell in love with bands like The Cure, Simple Minds, New Order, U2, The Smiths etc. Incredible music, incredible bands an incredible time as far as I'm concerned. Thank-you for this post. It brings back a lot of great memories.

  • One of NO's most under-rated tunes. The keyboard progression after the last lyrics still gives me chills. For most of their career, no one did it better than these guys (they kinda lost me after Republic).....just brilliant synth-pop that sounded HUMAN and not just a bunch of sterile pushing of keys and buttons on synths. And yes, it does remind me so much of being a teenager and in love with my first girlfriend (along with OMD, The Cure, Depeche Mode, etc). Good times!

  • May be but it has lost something. The SONG is up there, Atmosphere, New Dawn Fades.

  • @lapispinoza

    Thank You for subscribing!

  • Reminds me of summer 1984, leaving school, etc........pure nostalgia.

  • 'Lonesome Tonight' was the b-side of 'Thieves Like Us' (FAC 103).

  • I don't wanna sound arsey, but this was never on PC+L, leastways not the 1983 version. I first heard this on the 1987 Substance double. Magnificent tune though, much appreciate the post.

  • Yeah I've got the vinyl and it definitely ain't on there.

  • was reissued a couple of years back and disc 2 included this, blue monday confusion and some remixes. I picked it up for 12 quid....bargain

  • @jaytotale It was a B-side to one of the singles from PLC

  • @liamevans Yes you are right it was a B-side to one of the PLC tunes - Ceremony maybe.

It was publsihed on Cermeony. However this was 29 years ago so maybe released differently elsewhere to UK

  • north carolinian/thanks pal.absolute quality tune.leave me alone brilliant also.followed them all my life.greatest band in the world.always will be

  • one of my fav albums and songs

  • i loveeee new order and this is my current favorite song of theirs!!! thank you so much for uploading.

  • You are quite welcome! This song reminds me of how I felt when I was single many years ago.

  • Massive tune!

  • Thank you very much Shelley! I post these videos for the love of the music and for the fans. It has been a while since I posted a new video. Peace and Light to you as well!
