Julian offered to teach me to play steel when I was 12 at the time and didn't have a steel guitar. If I could go back I would've mowed every yard in the city until I had the money to buy one. He was beyond gifted.

omg, i can't believe i actually found julian tharpe playing!!!! he is awesome, i knew him as a kid, my dad, Johnny Temple owns julians 14string JET show bud. Julian taught him how to play. There will NEVER be another Julian or even close. He was out of this world on that steel!!
