wtf is RCM? i played this already & i have to say your dynamics are not that clear but sometimes it is very obvious. some of your notes are way too fast, you do not have a set pace & you're all over the place going from 100-144 or even faster at times. get a metronome? & also you use staccato in some places where you shouldnt.
not bashing, just stating what people should know.
nice performance! i am just about finished with this piece and i thought i might look around to see how its really done. mine still could be a tad faster -__-
Im learning this song right now too!! i think this is really good and despite others saying your triplets are too fast they might be tad but that is why there is a range in the speed from 126 to i forget the top one but this is definatly within that range. It does need dynamics though and a steadier rhythm but your really good compared to me:P especially since your so young. CONGRATS!!
@stickerlover164902 Hey douchebag, why don't you upload a video of you playing that? He's probably finished all the RCM books by now, you have to acknowledge how old he is. He just has to work on his tempo, triplets, and some more feeling. Saying it's terrible tells us what a stupid person you are.
@stickerlover164902 I know. Seriously? I don't know why you said that to him.. I honestly think he's way better than you. And everything you play is easy as fuck (I know because I played them all except Jar of Hearts which I know is easy) and they are all slow and mellow pieces that don't need much dynamic-wise articulation. So all I'm saying is: speak for yourself.
im playing this now and im 12 i agree your triplets are too fast. lol u even play it faster than me and your younger than me but other than that good job
I don't want to critisize you but, your tiplets are WAY TOO FAST!!!! Slow down your triplets!!!! You also speed up in parts where your not supposed to and your dynamics are not all correct. But everything else is fine.
In general, I often agree with your teacher - play Beethoven, not some thing that you made up based on Beethoven. In this case, there is some interpretation going on, and I think it's done very well. I agree with you though - hopefully his training (by someone who knows how to play Beethoven) will give him the freedom to have his own way of playing it.
Excellent job, in my opinion with the tempo changes. I did not think to slow down as much as you do during the repeated 8th notes on the left hand at 3:00, but it sounds very good. I will try it next time I play. I agree with others that more can be done for dynamic expression. Personally, I question whether a 7 year old is mature enough to have his own expression, or if the interpretation will be entirely his teacher's. In any case, the interpretation here and the playing are both very good.
I wish I lived in your world where this quality of playing is horrible. You must have exposure to some phenomenal music. However this child was trained it still sounds great...
you begin to see a reason why there are child prodigies... next of kin to pavlovian conditioning on part of the parents. Doesn't equate in feeling in pieces, that's why azns never have ANY feeling. Asian kid was playing chaconne at my college audition, played it perfectly, IT SOUNDED HORRIBLE! No emotion whatsoever.
not bad but you really need to include the over exaggerate articulations and dynamic level. There is hardly any emotion that you included. Without any emotion the piece becomes boring and repetitious. Study some Beethoven technique to fully comprehend the concepts.
P.S. If any of you say he is to young to bother with that, i was playing Beethoven's Pathetique sonata when i was his age.
I agree that he needs to work on his dymanics, It seems too technical. The problem I have is with the fingering but I make up for it with the dynamics. I think the dynamics are more important here.
Wow Arthur, this was really good! Your triplets are very nice and even! I can tell you enjoy this piece! :) Good luck for when you take this to competitions/exams!
Good playing! Quite a few wrong notes, lift your hand up whenever you need to. Also, don't speed up, keep the same tempo. Furthermore, watch some of the dynamics, they were sometimes ignored. Overall, a very nice job! =]
Ahhh...I have a feeling you'll win the competition ^^...either that, or you will at least have a near-win xD As my teacher would say, "You have good articulation" (also known as, "near-perfect" =D)
You have done a great job. I noticed you slowed down a lot during the development section. I think you were doing it for stylistic emphasis not because of any technical challenge. I'm not sure if that slowing down is really kosher for this era of music. Anyone else have any comments?
WOW! Arthur is fantastic! The smoothness of the flow of music coupled with rapidly changing notes, he's achieved a feat not to be undermined! Excellent playing!
bravo! very fluent, very powerful! one little moaning: the theme beginning at around 3:00 should not be THAT much slower than the rest of the piece. A bit slower is okay :-)
Arthur Well done , be very honest you are a musician now for rcm piano examination is too easy for you, its time to move a big step to get extermely challenge experience on piano competition to polish yourself to, in u dictionary there's not a word all too hard, are you ready for this challenge , i m so sure you can do it
Arthur is a much mature pianist now; yet despite being played 2 years ago.... still very good!!!
