Terrell never had a chance to shine for the Bulldogs like Moreno did. Most Georgia fans wondered why aren't we using this kid more. We would've had a lot better 1994-95 seasons had we used him more often. If Ray Goff was a better coach then Terrell Davis would've been a 1st or 2nd round pick. Give Moreno time (and an O-Line), he'll be great.

Knowshon's biggest talent is his yards after contact. You can look up any game he plays in, and find at least five runs where he was stopped at the line, but instead of a loss or no gain, kept working and got 5 yards, or 4, or 8

I can tell you for one thing TD use to wait for his blocking to develop instead of just bulling forward into the line to pick up a 1yard gains over and over again. Also, TD never directly tried to bounce it to the outside whenever he there was a open lane.
The O-line was a bit out of shape last season but still the inability of getting outside or the clear lack of vision caused Moreno to miss a lot of extra yards during his rookie year.
@Xx94LightsOutxX Secondly, Moreno does show flashes of TD but his lack of field vision and inability to make runs to the outside makes me think he was taken way too high in the draft considering the fact that in that year the Broncos could have taken Okapo and waited later to get LeSean McCoy(who I personally believe is a better overall RB than Moreno).

Knowshown has the ability to be a very good back he just needs to slow the game down and get used to reading his line a bit better. Being a bit faster wouldn't hurt but its not a necessity

I just don't see anything special. I see an decent back who got a lot of carries behind a pretty good O-line. He lacks field vision, breakaway speed, elusiveness, he runs with little or now power and he looks STIFF as hell in the hips.
Watch an MJD, Adrian Peterson or LT from 2006 video,....they are fluid, they rarely hit the wrong hole, it looks like everyone around them is running in sand. Moreno has none of that.

@jordanmerida knowshon is and always will be my favorite runningback even though he isn't on my favorite pro team. He hasn't rushed for under less yards than reggie bush's HIGHEST season total. He is only a second year back. He left college early he is still getting use to the NFL. Cut him some slack he is still exciting and fun to watch. He will get there.
@jordanmerida Knowshon DID get alot of carries, he got about 250 and the closest other rookie RB to get that was Beanie who had about 175, and Moreno barely split with Buckhalter (he had 120). Beanie and Hightower almost had the same amount of carries they split so much and Beanie was decisively better than Moreno this year. I respect what you're saying and that you have high hopes for him but he isnt fast, strong or aware enough to be a great back. Like a lesser version of Terrell Davis.

'09 was a weak offensive class all the way around, linebackers were amzing this year
@FallenPriest69 the bench press is all about reps... which to me isnt strength... its more endurance. if you think about it... moreno had great endurance despite sharing the ball with buckhalter... moreno should have started all the way... he would have at least 4 100 yard games.... he wouldve had 100 in week 3 but instead buckhalter had more carries.. Knowshon had 97 yards in washington but shared handoffs with buckhalter... 86 yards in cleveland but gave buckhalter more carries...
@jordanmerida Even as a Broncos fan, I am going to have to disagree with you. Moreno hasbn't shown me that he was worry of a firstround selection. He small but not very fast and if your not fast than you need to be a bruiser and Knowshow isn't that either. Sure, he was a rookie but runninbacks players that you can usually tell right away if they will be good or not. Watch Ray Rice, Chris Johnson, AP, MJD, etc. in their rookie seasons and you knew they were going to be great.
@matilack where your statement lacks validity is when you say Denver has a pretty good o line. Their interior run blocking was atrocious, and Ryan harris was injured the majority of the season, leaving clady and Kuper as the only two decent run blockers, which is why Denver drafted 3 potential interior linemen. I do agree with you by when you point out Moreno's explosiveness, but he is not that type of back. He has good vision, but made some wrong reads as a rook. I expect big things in 2010.

Lacking breakaway speed? He was a decent sprinter in high school apparently. He has amazing acceleration and is faster than most rbs in the league.

@matilack your calling one of the most elusive and athletic backs decent? he plays for Denver give me a break i could rush for 2k yards behind AP's line. Moreno was called one of the most explosive/elusive/smart backs in the nation in college, he was put ahead of AP and Chris Johnson. The reason he got so many yards in college and was so explosive was his acceleration and vision, your dumb as hell.
Beanie was hurt in training camp and was eased in by Coach Whiz and didn't get going really until the about the second half of the season. The Cards also had Tim Hightower (not a bad RB himself) in front of him and he quickly passed him on the depth chart once he got going. You can't really rely on the stats of their rookie campaigns. Instead just look at the highlights from their rookie season and you can see Beanie has more talent and will have the better career.
Nope Knowshon is way better you CAN go by the stats and Knowshon was second on the depth chart behind Correll Buckhalter and still had almost 1,000 yards
the good thing about knowshon is that he is patient going to the hole. waiting for the line to make their blocks will be key to knowshon's success in his second year in the nfl. be ready for big things from the former Georgia Bulldog.

I hope the Broncos can use White and Fargas to their advantage this year. I like Knowshon but his inability to make defenders miss and poor field vision, I think he will be a worn down draft bust.

@Xx94LightsOutxX I think you're drunk off the highlights. I can tell you for one thing TD use to wait for his blocking to develop instead of just bulling forward into the line to pick up a 1yard gains over and over again. Also, TD never directly tried to bounce it to the outside whenever he there was a open lane.
The O-line was a bit out of shape last season but still the inability of getting outside or the clear lack of vision caused Moreno to miss a lot of extra yards during his rookie year.

@Xx94LightsOutxX Secondly, Moreno does show flashes of TD but his lack of field vision and inability to make runs to the outside makes me think he was taken way too high in the draft considering the fact that in that year the Broncos could have taken Okapo and waited later to get LeSean McCoy(who I personally believe is a better overall RB than Moreno).

Knowshown has the ability to be a very good back he just needs to slow the game down and get used to reading his line a bit better. Being a bit faster wouldn't hurt but its not a necessity

I just don't see anything special. I see an decent back who got a lot of carries behind a pretty good O-line. He lacks field vision, breakaway speed, elusiveness, he runs with little or now power and he looks STIFF as hell in the hips.
Watch an MJD, Adrian Peterson or LT from 2006 video,....they are fluid, they rarely hit the wrong hole, it looks like everyone around them is running in sand. Moreno has none of that.

@matilack hey man you gotta relax its his first season and for a rookie he had great season he didnt get alot of carry's he was spliten reps with buck, the o-line is good but it was always broken down i dont think there was a time with the whole starting unit if so not for long,, knowshon showed alot of potential and promise he's getting better as we speak hes having a great offseason but people are gonna hate cant change that and thats how you feel and its ok with me

@jordanmerida The Broncos O-line is no worse than Buffalo's, and Fred Jackson outrushed Moreno last year both yds and ypc. Same with Jamal Charles, are you telling me the Cheifs have a better O-line than Denver? lol
Everybody looks good in shorts. Lets see how the kid plays when men are flying around him again, if he can slow the game down a little and losen those hips I could see him being a poor mans Brian Westbrook, or in the Chester Taylor mold. He's not a hopeless bust...yet.

@matilack the broncos o-line was banged up through out the season, and these guys your talking about are 3, 4 year guys they developed knowshon is in the state now and fred jackson had the WHOLE work (marshawn was no where to be found) load as when knowshon was fighting for reps with buckhalter and plus McDainels is a passing kinda guy, knowshon had MUCH BETTER rookie seasons than both charles and jackson but they both developed into the backs they are today, knowshon is DEVELOPING

@jordanmerida knowshon is and always will be my favorite runningback even though he isn't on my favorite pro team. He hasn't rushed for under less yards than reggie bush's HIGHEST season total. He is only a second year back. He left college early he is still getting use to the NFL. Cut him some slack he is still exciting and fun to watch. He will get there.

@jordanmerida Knowshon DID get alot of carries, he got about 250 and the closest other rookie RB to get that was Beanie who had about 175, and Moreno barely split with Buckhalter (he had 120). Beanie and Hightower almost had the same amount of carries they split so much and Beanie was decisively better than Moreno this year. I respect what you're saying and that you have high hopes for him but he isnt fast, strong or aware enough to be a great back. Like a lesser version of Terrell Davis.

@Emilywhite44 His 40 is pretty good but so far it hasnt translated to his play in the NFL, if it had he would have ran for 100 yards in a game. and i guess because he benched it 25 times that makes him stronger than brandon jacobs (19 reps) and patrick willis (22 times)? that doesnt mean anything. great combine results dont equal a great player, they are great to have for sure, but they dont guarantee anything. '09 was a weak offensive class all the way around, linebackers were amzing this year

@FallenPriest69 the bench press is all about reps... which to me isnt strength... its more endurance. if you think about it... moreno had great endurance despite sharing the ball with buckhalter... moreno should have started all the way... he would have at least 4 100 yard games.... he wouldve had 100 in week 3 but instead buckhalter had more carries.. Knowshon had 97 yards in washington but shared handoffs with buckhalter... 86 yards in cleveland but gave buckhalter more carries...

@jordanmerida Even as a Broncos fan, I am going to have to disagree with you. Moreno hasbn't shown me that he was worry of a firstround selection. He small but not very fast and if your not fast than you need to be a bruiser and Knowshow isn't that either. Sure, he was a rookie but runninbacks players that you can usually tell right away if they will be good or not. Watch Ray Rice, Chris Johnson, AP, MJD, etc. in their rookie seasons and you knew they were going to be great.

@matilack where your statement lacks validity is when you say Denver has a pretty good o line. Their interior run blocking was atrocious, and Ryan harris was injured the majority of the season, leaving clady and Kuper as the only two decent run blockers, which is why Denver drafted 3 potential interior linemen. I do agree with you by when you point out Moreno's explosiveness, but he is not that type of back. He has good vision, but made some wrong reads as a rook. I expect big things in 2010.

@matilack What are you talking about man. Did you even watch the video or any of the season? He has great field vision, elusiveness and his hips are far from stiff as hell. He has decent power.
Lacking breakaway speed? He was a decent sprinter in high school apparently. He has amazing acceleration and is faster than most rbs in the league.

@matilack listen there are about 4 backs with so called breakaway speed MJD Deangelo williams Adrian peterson and Chris johnson and all but 1 of them were caught from behind numerous times I agree with everything else but breakaway speed really doesn't exist as much as you'd probably like to think in the NFL

@matilack your calling one of the most elusive and athletic backs decent? he plays for Denver give me a break i could rush for 2k yards behind AP's line. Moreno was called one of the most explosive/elusive/smart backs in the nation in college, he was put ahead of AP and Chris Johnson. The reason he got so many yards in college and was so explosive was his acceleration and vision, your dumb as hell.

Beanie was hurt in training camp and was eased in by Coach Whiz and didn't get going really until the about the second half of the season. The Cards also had Tim Hightower (not a bad RB himself) in front of him and he quickly passed him on the depth chart once he got going. You can't really rely on the stats of their rookie campaigns. Instead just look at the highlights from their rookie season and you can see Beanie has more talent and will have the better career.
