For one....GT5 is a SIMULATOR....if any has ever used simulators before, especially those who fly, you will all know that a simulator uses the CPU power to render as real as it can effects of wind, weather, yaw, pitch, etc. Street and automobile simulators are there so that everyone can learn about cars and how they work and while simulating, showing the effects of drag, sliding, torque, etc. Even while simulating some mechanical damages, cosmetic damages are not the goal of simulators/drivers.

look at 1:47 how fake it is.

in five years they didn't even made a decent collision physic. with 5 years of developing, i am expecting a perfect game.

i have a ps3 and a 360 (with forza 3) and i guarantee you that, at least, collisions on forza 3 are way more realistic than GT5
