Its a stout carbon fiber hood. Those hoods are super rare in the united states and they are gorgeous!! check out 2jzul8r he also has a stout hood omg it is sexay!! I hope ill be able to find one/ buy one since they are rare and cost an arm and a leg to buy. Takakaira has em though haven't heard much about em.

i just bought a 1990 tt mk3 had 2 mates in the car and had the ass out at some lights supras are only heavier than others because of engine size so if you compare power to weight with other cars wouldnt be much different only you need bigger balls haha

uhhhh the engine weight isnt much different to alot of JDM rivals...the body is very stout, especially the aero-tops which have alot more chassis/sub-frame bracing for when the roof is off.

but ya i need to start finding more power all i have for engine mods is NGK wires,cap,iradium plugs ngk everything for ignition and HKS cam adjustable pullys and greddy timing belt

but soon to get is a cold air intake yet

but ya otehr than the just basics like exhaust and tires

You need more power?! I'm assuming you have the stock 7M-GE? Swap in a 7M-GTE. If you already have a 7M-GTE, stop complaining and learn how to drift better. I know folks who drift stock 86s all day long with a welded diff...if they can do that, you can drift a Turbo MkIII with an LSD...heck, mine drifts just fine.

if you want to really drift you'd wanna think about putting an engine in with more power...then suspension, diff, clutch, flywheel, sway bars, etc etc.

Sure you might be able to get it into a slide but controlling it you need good suspension and a decent amount of power or the n/a worked alot.

Depending on the tires and how high he revs his car, he could. Also, if i remember right the JZA70 is a twin turbo model only released in Japan, like the Turbo A, but i think the A70 is a Turbo R. I could be wrong :o

the turbo a and the turbo r were both versions of the supra that are very rare. i highly doubt this car is either. the jza70 is a twin turbo but it is 270hp and 3500lbs. that car is def not stock.

what kind of supra is it? mk1s are 2800lbs, mk2s are 3000lbs, and both mk3 and mk4 are right around 3500lbs. im pretty sure your car is not 2600lbs.

yeah def. not 2600. the na mk4 were 3200lbs but all the turbos were 3500.

it was actually a big problem toyota dealt with. if you read about it you will find they went to great lengths, making stuff aluminum and such, they even put in hollow fibered carpet hairs in too reduce weight

lol again, same problem. i went to toyota and bought new weatherstripping, front on the car and sides on the targa. cost me somethin like 210 bucks but well worth it, doesnt leak a single drop. Good luck.

funny, my brother just wrecked his MKIII (aero top, auto, turbo) an hour ago in nashville. So, I gave him mine (hard top, manual, turbo) I have an sc400 in cali that I drive and I like it. will do a few things to it, change the tranny to manual, change the diff to a LSD and maybe exhaust, and piggy back. the car has enough power and torque to drift, it's just a bit too long :P

High boosted Auto's are actually faster in the turbo charged version because of shift lag in the manuals. And hardtops are much better for any kind of aggressive driving. I had a targa once and it flexed terribly around the most simple turn. Great if you like driving in straight lines lol.

mkiii's aint the easiest to drift...being so heavy and usually alot more powerful then the rivals they're better suited to GT, there are exceptions but its alot of money to get a supra drifting right.

Definitely easier to get sideways then it is to keep it sideways, My MKIII loves to scare the shit out of me when it regains traction. It doesn't have slicks though, straight sport tires.

But its true, the spoiler wont have any effect at all. for one, they are moving sideways, to a point, and two, the force over the spoiler isnt enough to have any positive effect on the balance of the car, maybe at 70+ but i doubt they are going that fast into a drift when they need the downforce.
