Thank you so much for posting this video.I watch it all the time and wish that it never happened. When I listen to the music and see all the children that died , I realize how life can end in an instant.
@MrJnesk Thank you so much for your comment! I'm glad you love the video so much! It's great to see that all those people who lost their lives that day are still remembered. :)
saugagirl83 --- Thanks for putting this on YT. The zoom in / zoom out helps to personalize the victim to the viewer ... plus the perfect song in the background adds a lot. Just think - the families of the victims have or will watch this, and I am sure they will appreciate what you have done... KWH
@kwhudson2 Thank you for watching and for commenting, I'm glad you like the video. I certainly hope the families left behind have or will watch this at some point and know that their children have never been forgotten.
On another note: Today is August 4 and would have been Isaiah Shoels' 30th birthday, and tomorrow would have been Rachel Scott's 29th birthday. Happy Birthday to both of you. <3
@LovelyJudithBarsi Thank you Alex. I am really proud of this video. It also hits home for me because I was also in high school at the time that this happened and we had a shooting threat at my school the week after Columbine. One of my teachers in high school was actually a school shooting survivor himself.
@LovelyJudithBarsi Yes, there was a shooting at his high school (back in the 60's of 70's). He did not get shot but he did see the gunman in the hallway. His art teacher was killed and I think the gunman also turned the gun on himself. I think one or two other students were also killed as well but I can't remember.
@LovelyJudithBarsi Yeah, he was my history/geography teacher and a big part of that class was discussing current events. Since this was the biggest thing in the news at the time, we discussed it quite a bit and he told us all about the shooting at his school. There was actually another teacher at my school who went there when that shooting happened; although it was a teacher that I did'nt have.
@LovelyJudithBarsi I did some reading about the school shooting that happened when my teacher was in high school:
It occurred on May 28, 1975 (next week will mark the 35th anniversary). The gunman was 16-year-old Michael Slobodian. He started shooting in a boy's washroom at the school and killed fellow student John Slinger. He then moved to an art class and killed teacher Margaret Wright (who was also an English teacher). He also wounded 13 other students before taking his own life.
@saugagirl83People say those days were love & peace, but the bullying in my school then was far worse than anything I've heard of in my daughters' school now. Kids were bullied with cruelty that would now make me cry if I were to see it again. Sometimes it was 9 or more kids bullying 1 kid at once. I was bullied, and I regret that sometimes I reacted by bullying others. And maybe saddest of all, the school staff turned a blind eye to it. I could go on, but you get the idea. Good job on the vid
