im now actually getin an epiphone les paul that is honeyburst... 500 DOLLARS!!!! IT SOUNDS LIKE A GIBSON N THTS THE GOOD PRT!!! SO TECHNACLY 500$ 4 A GIB WEN ITS REALLY AN EPI! GREAT DEAL N PRICE!! SOME PEOPLE EVEN SED ITS BTTR THEN SOME GIBSONS!!!

Gibsons arent really that great.

And if you want lp-copy, don't get an epiphone. A big company like gibson actually have one miserable quality according the price.

Smaller companies don't have the massive brand like "gibson/epiphone" so you can get a lot better LP-copy with that 500 bucks.

you must be a beginer because no epiphone sounds like a gibson, and never will. unless you switch out the pickups... and for 500 bucks you can get a way better guitar than an EPIPHONE les paul

i did change the pick ups to seymore duncan pro 2 pickups n they r great n tht was my plan...2 not spend 2 muck money on a gibson n still get the tone of won

o well in that case its good, id also suggest putting new machine heads on your epiphone because the stock ones go out of tune pretty easily, but thats just me /:

ya...thx 4 the advice. i also just got an epiphone ebony standard but im not changin n e thing on it cuz i just want an epi. im gonna gor 4 a gibson next time n compare the 2

the pickups don't make that much of a difference... just in the way they react to your picking but the wood makes everything. And the tone secret a killer amp. GIBSON--> Marshall MG= Medium tone. Epi--> Marshall JCM 800/PLEXI= good tone. GIBSON---> MARSHALL JCM 800/PLEXI KILLER TONE

ya but i ended up getiin another les paul ebony epiphone but on my honeyburst i changed the pickups to seymore duncan pro 2 and it sounds good enough to me

by the way if ur wonderin im 11 n i can play the whole song up until the fast prt of the solo wen the wah pedal is turned on wich i have....i only need a video camera n im w8ing til christmas for my goldtop 56 epi...rite now i have a line 6 spider 3 amp [30 watts $200 made me broke lol] and a fender strat black n white...once its christmas im gona try to get a vid cam n the first vid im gona do is sweet child o mine with partially improvised solo also im subscribing and frend requestn

I use a vox tonelab LE and an line 6 spider II 210. The main sound comes from my tonelab LE. I only use the speakers of the line 6 amp.

The vintage is a really great guitar! I bought it as a back up guitar but it sounds so good that the vintage is my main guitar now. It has an instand strat sound and plays very nice. Good hardware, bad relic job, but who cares. Realy nice guitar for a really nice price!!!
