Great video. Thanks for sharing it with us. It's great to have a behind the kit view of how good drummers play. Been learning Burn for a couple of days now to cover with the band. I tried writing a couple of days ago and it didn't stick. This is by far the best Burn cover I've ever seen. A favorite for a longtime. You are very relaxed. Is it all singles on the fills?

Practice single stroke triplets and accent on every (1) so you end up alternating between L and R with accents. Really hit them hard.

I'll do that, thanks. To me I hear groups of four 16th's with the first one accented. But your idea is interesting.

Correct, this is not what's played in this song but what you should practice to be able to move the accents around freely. The accents are done really where it feels best at that time in the song...but if you practice what I suggested you'll quickly find out how the rolls begin to flow and accents almost come out of nowhere :)

Love this. Back in a DP-Paice thing last several weeks. I use my feet a lot to compensate for lack of speed elsewhere, but have been "working out" to this for a few weeks to get my singles back to where they should be. Sometimes tough listening to what Ian's doin on the recordings, but you've really nailed it. Very helpful for me to watch. Thanks :-)
