  • how do you learn them to go backwards do you give them a treat when you give them pressure en they go backwards and you release or?

  • You have the idea, but by what I've seen, Parelli followers use their finger and poke, poke, until the horse moves. You're using the crop (stick) and pushing on the tender under ear area when you're at the end of the video and having your horse move away from pressure. The place you should be "poking" with a tap, tap is on the shoulder. You appear to push the horse in the way you want it to go. You're trying but your horse isn't picking up on the cues very well. Review Parelli's method.

  • I think you're missing the point a bit. The idea is to try not to be aggressive, your stance is a little aggressive and you look like you are poking a bit rather than guiding. Easy with the stick. Perhaps try being a little more delicate and waiting to see if he will give you the reaction with a signal as opposed to forcing the reaction. This could take time though.

  • Realy helpful, willbe trying this wit my orses he doesenjoy barging people our the way!

  • If you can't say anything helpful, than just say nothing.

  • @urbangurl4ehver you know CRAP about horses obviously.

  • @urbangurl4ehver You evidently don't have a horse or understand the Parelli games. Check out Pariellis' videos. The game names may be funny, but they do describe what is happening...porcupine...quills...poke..poke.. LOL
