First we should try really using our voting power. I have contacted both my state senators and my district congressman about HR 1207 S 603 and how they better not let it pass watered down. Yesterday I called Barney Franks office (he has a major role) and Nancy Pelosi's to ask they get this bill thru as Ron Paul intended. Mel Watts R-NC gutted the bill but R Paul has made amendments. May take a year to get thru but people need to call/email gentle pressure on co-sponsers to stay the course.

Personally, all of my money has been going into land and off-grid energy and sustainance technologies. I'm not some kind of survivalist nut, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna sink my "money" into something transitory. If things get REALLY bad, I'll have a fallback.
1) Gold price rising means the currency is being counterfeited because the Fed Note is world reserve and all fiat currencies are based on the reserve status of the PAPER.
2) The entire US government, financial, political Federal, State and city is promoting fraud to the world
You can't fix it that's why you need to secure some REAL money (physical gold and silver).
There's no one to hold accountable when your PAPER money becomes worthless.

I read in the article they are referring to that GE had a subprime unit in their money lending branch that got mixed up in the Goldman bundles.
