all totps performances were playback in the early 80s it was only around 1986 that bands were made to play live on totps which led to totps downfall as big names were no longer performing on there as they couldnt sing

you should see whams performances on totps haha they didnt even try and pretend they was singing live

These guys are completely self tought, and played their own original stuff, can't get any better than that.

But they got lucky somewhere along the way and somebody promoted them, and hit it big.

These days there is no original music, it's all computerized copies of a copy of another sampled copy of somebody else's work a long long long time ago.

@dominicrusho your way off...duran duran were not a manafactured pop band. jls are manafactured and hand picked to be pop stars. duran duran have a history of forming into what they became. they are a real band who do write their material and can play live...in fact, probably one of the best live bands in the world today. most 80s bands had to have talent because thats what sold records then - unlike jls.
