The US gov't has always been unmerciful & inhuman towards those they brand as 'insurgents, or guerrillas.' The Missouri guerillas during Lincoln's reign of terror were treated the same way as those in Fallujah. Wounded were executed. Torture, body mutilation, rape & murder of guerilla female relatives, etc. Quantrill's men defeated the Feds 99% of the time in battle, which enraged the blue criminals all the more. Schools hospitals and civilians are protected under the Geneva Conventions, there is solid evidence of US warcrimes across the entire theatre in both Iraq and Afghanistan, a demonstrable reluctance to do anything about it and total denial and the abuse of those that speak out from the baying mob of religious-zealot supporters shows definitively what America has become

But, cruise missiles 'could' conceivably destroy the US Navy. SS-400 'could' clear US A.Force from the sky. Nothing can stop the american nuclear arsenal.

If they believe this, they will think no other job would offer them the same opportunity so telling them what you do will achieve nothing. We need to educate our military to who they are really fighting for and expose the propaganda lies.
