A famous "Peanuts" strip at the time had Charlie Brown and Snoopy listening to a portable phonograph, hearing the end of a record, with Snoopy jumping up and down. Charlie says, "All right, but just ONCE MORE! That's all!". He starts playing the record again, a broad smile on Snoopy's face. Charlie grimaces, "Three hunded times is enough for ANYONE to listen to 'Doggie in the Window'!".
This is the version I remember, only I think we had it on a 45. I liked the flip side, "My Jealous Eyes," too. Thanks for the nostalgia!
