No they don't. Saya just goes into her sleep cycle for 30 years and Haji doesn't die at the end. If you watch all the credits of the last episode, you see Kai and the twins at the family tomb and he sees a blue rose with haji's hair ribbon on it...and Kai says "So he did come..."
