Patterson Park in Baltimore is where I see them. There is a very nice walkway over water with trees on an embankment. You can almost touch them in the wild!!

So cute! Look how large his crown is too. I think he is displaying. He must see his reflection and is trying to chase off the other male?

ya they show their crown when they are either agitated or courting, I love these little guys
