I can definitely relate. The worst reaction to my surgery was a coworker that said, "What - you don't know what it takes to lose weight? You can't figure out how to diet and exercise?" I had to learn really fast to be confident of my decision and ignore the negativity.

WOW< thanks so much for this video. I feel so many of the same things with the discrimination and people judging me, but I have taken on an attitude of knowing what I am doing is right for me. I appreciate your videos so much. I am in CA and having my surgery in 2 weeks! YAY!

Hey you checking out your video and the part that hit home for me is the traveling part I love to travel but as I got bigger i do not travel anymore my last trip to florida i had to ask for the seat belt extender and i almost cried and have been scared every since.

I had my surgery 4 weeks ago it is a major struggle but I am happy I had it. I wish you luck in your struggle.

Just wanted to say thank you for nailing how the big people feel! I too have the same worries can I fit in this seat, will I fit on that ride at the amusement park, ect. Prime example went to my son's teacher confrence and what do ya know the desks and chairs are connected! omg anxiety set in. My husband noticed my face and thanks to him he saw my fear on my face and he took that seat, and he is 6'3 squeezing in it. I can't wait to have that fear go away.

That's what I'm talking about!!! Get the negativity OUT OF THE WAY!! If people can't be on board then push em overboard. I talked about the "saboteurs" in one of my videos and ya just gotta get rid or em. WLS is not about fitting an appearance mold and it's more than a notion going thru the process. This is so far from the easy way out! Pat yourself on the back... you're well on your way!

I am going through the same thing but its all in my head. I did the iDXA scan and there are some serious doubts in my head. I know exactly what you are feeling. But on the positive side, you will not look or feel like this in a year. Anything you are feeling you are working on. Good Luck!

@MrSmileyFL -it is a scan of your body from head to toe. It breaks down the composition into 3 categories, fat, muscle and lean muscle. They can tell you how much you would weight with 0% body fat and then adjust your goal weight based on what would be right for your gender. It is a really cool test

4get the haters man!! You sound focused..not alot of ppl will agree or understand....so i just let it go. There is alot of discrimination agsnt obese ppl especially the personal/dating/work all of it is affected. Look at you with your travel plans....i was telling my sis i want to go see Niagra Falls State Park. (loved waterview btw)..once I started losing I was thinking about summer2011 already! Well keep trucking...this video was great I agree with everything you said.it deff is a journey!.
