I hope he was able to finish school and some of the boys must have stood up for him at the school. The school should have let him complete school and leave if they wanted to avoid the publicity which came to that school. I know many parents didn't like the idea of a boy dressing as a girl and no telling how many others agreed with him and his right to do so. I am proud of those girls and boys who stood up for him there against the bullies who put pressure on him.

I was threatened to be kicked out of school on many occasions when I came out as trans. The teachers threatened to give everyone an F if they called me Shane and not my birthname. The last two years of high school was harsh because the teachers and the principal wanted to force me to act like a girl. Its sad how close minded adults can be.
