  • Can you tell/show us how the inside/backside looks like? pls

  • @TesRoefs Sure, there's a couple more pics on the ZealCNC blog. The three holes in the front for the vacuum lines come out the top, pretty simple. Just blank off the area not covered by the part with the gasket.

  • How does it work?

  • A have a few questions if you don't mind me asking. :)

First off, what are you using for the spindle on this machine? It doesn't look like one of the Colombo spindles you sell on your website, so I'm just curious.

Second, do you have any pictures of the vacuum table without a piece of stock attached to it? What are you using for a vacuum pump? How loud is this compared to the sound of the Mill?

Thank you very much. You have a nice looking machine there :)

  • @Pyroflea53 Thank you :) The spindle is a Kavo 4041 - they're nice, quiet and accurate. There's a pic or two of the vacuum table on my blog, search for "zealcnc: a new desktop mill" and you should see it. The vacuum is from an SMC vacuum ejector (venturi type thing, uses compressed air to create a vacuum). It's not too loud but does get annoying after a few hours - it sounds like an air leak...

  • Awesome Job. Very well done!

  • Yeah how much was the vacuum table? And is that plastic? Can it hold aluminium?

  • @factionxvt408x, the mill made the vacuum table, the aluminium to make it cost about $30.00. If you use a grippy gasket (I use neoprene sheet, usually) it'll hold aluminium ok.

  • how much is something like this?

  • Hi, are you asking about the vacuum table, or the mill?
