  • will this work to tie mono to braid .......good and easy knot

    cheers

  • my main line in 14lb mono... i've spooled about half the reel (100+ yds) and now i want to add 40lb braid to it.. what's the best knot to join these 2 lines?

  • @Unplugged704 Do a double unit knot if you are not using it as a leader. Double Unit is much stronger, but it's more thicker and not good for casting.

  • great video, way better than the other videos. well explained :)

  • Awesome demo mate!! first time useing that knot and it worked great!!, really strong and simple. Thanks for the help!!! :)

  • I saw this knot on Fishing Universe and they called it a Double Albright.

  • Good demo mate. Very well explained!

  • i have the same scissors as you its very handy for cutting fishing line :)

  • nice knot, just read a mag that suggested bringing the tag end through the loop twice ... probablly wouldn't slip anyway

  • Having bought all the gear for Tarpon, I was only missing this knot, it's so easy and neat, cheers Mr Fish

  • Great video!

  • Thanks for posting this video! I use this knot many times since I watch this video last year. Excellent knot and excellent video!

  • Whats the max lb test you would tie with the albright ???

  • To be honest it seems to work up to any size line and braid, I have used it for wreck fishing with 30lb braid and 50lb leader, you may need to add or take away the amount of turns though

  • i agree very help full and gets the job done with most variations of lines!

  • Very nimble fingers!

Really excellent demonstration, please add more knots.

    Line to shock leader please?

  • brilliant knot for lure fishing with braid --> monoleader. Leaves a small knot especially useful on modern rods with small lowrider style guides.

This though is a variation of the albright.

in my opinion, even stronger and less likely to fail, which isn't a common trait in albrights in my experience anyway.

  • Excellent demo. This is also called the "Alberto's Knot". You must make sure none of the loops overlap when pulling tight or else you should retie it.

  • this is brilliant....thanx i now kno how to tie a knot....please add more so i can learn more skills.....thanx again Mr Fish
