@evanthebold I would have to disagree. She is good, but not the best. I would have to say like Zivkovic or She-e Wu are a bit more technically up to date in music styles and technique. However where she is from she is probably the best.
The marimba is actually a combination of many similar instruments from Africa and South America, that each have their own qualities. They made a western version and the Marimba is it.

It's a violin. The music is using an eastern pentatonic scale and also quarter tones. That's why it sounds different.
