@e174 all military branches = same basic training, that's why it's called BASIC training. There's some bases more specifically Marine based and are somewhat more difficult to go through, but it's not that much of a difference. Otherwise, if you can make it through basic training, you can probably make it through advanced combat training. But of course not. I'm using the military for career based training/free college. The Marines won't give you that. But if I wanted to be a marine, I could be.

The marines definitely receive more advanced combat training than most others, but after basic training, not during. If I can already pass the Army APFT that you have to take after basic, without having even been in basic yet, then I could definitely be a marine. @e174 all military branches = same basic training, that's why it's called BASIC training. There's some bases more specifically Marine based and are somewhat more difficult to go through, but it's not that much of a difference. Otherwise, if you can make it through basic training, you can probably make it through advanced combat training. But of course not. I'm using the military for career based training/free college. The Marines won't give you that. But if I wanted to be a marine, I could be.
