  • You are strong, yes, you are short, yes, but do yourself a favour: Lower the weight and use good, controlled form and loose the LMS. Not only will you save your shoulder joints and back (you can thank me later) but you'll also develop more strength and mass by using better technique. By the time you build up to 300lb in a controlled style you'll likely be 185lbs. Lift safe.

  • I think the biggest mover muscle here is actually his gluts, with his back moving up and down, the gluts are pulling in the motion, like a dead lift, they are creating the momentum, and his lats/shoulders get to come along for the ride

  • He's going to hurt himself. Your back should NEVER move while doing Lat Pull downs. Your a marine, you should know that. Fitness is a main factor, therefore learning how to properly work out really should be number 1

  • This isnt proper form at all. He is putting way too much momentum in it when it's supposed to be one smooth motion. Lat. Pulldown is supposed to help your lats get larger. Here he is working out more of his traps/shoulders and could even cause some serious injuries to himself.

  • yup. that is probably the worst form ive seen in awhile doing that. your back will never get big doing shit form like that. with all that swing id be suprised if you even got a pump off those sets. lower the weight and let your muscles actually pull that down and you'll come out of it with possibly some muscle growth. anybody can do the stack when they are using everything but their asshole to move the weight....its not body pulldowns its "lat pulldowns". waste of time.

  • his form is just fine, as I see it he does it quickly because he doesnt want to gain extreme weight, fast and sharp pulls will create lean muscle. He's able to pull twice his bodys weight for a reason...

  • @iPlay007 buddy... lets consider that his legs weight a measly 50 lbs and the rest of the body was 115. Now using the momentum of his upper body going downwards hes going down about 15 degrees with his body causing a momentum pull considerably low to the actual weight itself, maybe lose about 10%. So technically hes still pulling with all his strength a good 270 lbs. Pretty easy and if you watch the video correctly, very obvious physics... I'm also being very lenient and overestimating.

  • @ArticNT ....? Only certain types of pulley systems actually do that. Perhaps you should look up what types of pulleys do that. All that is happening is that the pulley makes it so that it is still 300 lbs but it is pulled down instead of him standing over it lifting, which would be an entirely different workout. Please look into your stuff before calling bullshit.

  • Your form is shit. You're using gravity to assist you. This doesn't indicate any "strength" at all. This reminds me of high school where everyone was under the impression of "if I can lift lots - must mean Im strong".Throwing your body to lift ridiculous amounts of weight does not build quality muscle, and ultimately doesn't build any strength. Your 300 lb bench was somewhat impressive, this is just embarassing.
